Payment... thank you for the videos! I've been listening to Rubblebucket since i saw them headline Some Kind of Jam in 2010, and I haven't been to Bonnaroo since 2009, but I would have loved to see them play there this year. Rubblebucket is the real deal.
Anyone else obsessed with rubblebucket and their sound/energy... check out:
I caught some of their sets on the Solar Stage and the Beer Music Lounge. They seemed to be a lot of fun. Their set at the Solar Stage drew one of the biggest crowds I've seen at that stage. Whatever tune they do with the flag/tarp over the crowd really worked the crowd well.
I was on my way to meet a friend and passed the Solar Stage during Rubblebucket's set. I immediately texted my friend and said she needed to forget our previous plans and get to the Solar Stage PDQ. To my surprise she was in the crowd right near me - she also had walked by and not made it any further. We enjoyed one hell of a show. Biggest crowd I've ever seen at Solar Stage. At one point one of the horn players did a stage dive and was body surfing the crowd - playing the hell out of his horn the whole time. I made a resoution that if these guys ever come to the ATL I will be there with bells on.
RUBBLEBUCKET killed all the sets they played. We didn't arrive on the farm until 3pm on Thursday. All of us were super psyched to see RUBBLEBUCKET and were worried we were going to miss the first set. Thankfully the 'Roo gods were kind to us, we walked into Centeroo 15 mins before the set started. Just long enough to grab a beer, then stake out a sweet spot for the show.
They did not disappoint either. I will be seeing RUBBLEBUCKET any time I get the chance to.

Before Roo I saw this thread and decided to check these guys out. Heard some really cool songs but didn't know what to expect really, but I put them down on my schedule.'
I was sitting at camp Thursday, debating on going in and seeing their solar stage set. Some guy wearing a blue RUBBLEBUCKET shirt was walking by our camp and asked us if we were going to see them and proclaimed that they were his favorite band and insisted we check them out. I decided to give them a shot.
Dear RUBBLEBUCKET guy, thank you so much for walking by, RUBBLEBUCKET blew my mind all over the place, then I checked out their Sonic stage set and brought some friends, they all loved it. Got to meet them and got a cd signed.
