You may have already read about that, but I figured it should be posted somewhere in a thread about the The White Stripes. My only worry is if they didn't have anything new in time for Bonnaroo, would they be touring or playing shows at that time??
And White Stripes, Radiohead, Phish sounds amazing.

I definitely get the love for Jack. But can someone 'splain to me why the love for the White Stripes is so much greater than the love for his other projects? With Dead Weather, he definitely needs to come out from behind the drum kit. But other than that, it doesn't seem to me that Meg brings that much to the table, especially compared with the lineups of his other bands.
It's the simplicity, but it's still amazing. She just lets him do what he does. Its basically a Jack White show with someone doing whatever he says, but not in a mean way. She is fine with it.

I think having the White Stripes reunite at Bonnaroo makes so much sense. It would seem a ton of people would be extremely excited to see this happen. They could bill it as the return of the White Stripes!!! Sorta like what happened with the Dead at Rothbury
White Stripes songs are better than Raconteurs or Dead Weather songs. It's as simple as that.
I can't agree with that more... The one thing that makes the White Stripes exponentially better then any other manifestation of Jack White is that he really gets to let loose on the guitar. And I think we can all agree that's what we really love about Jack.

Am I the only one who thinks they could hold down a Friday night headlining spot? Sure they're not as much of a mainstream draw as Kings of Leon or Metallica, but they have so much pent-up demand built up from the past few tour-less years.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

They will absolutely destroy no matter when or where they play.

You're not the only one, I'm with you on this. They can almost cetainly hold a fri headlining spot, but I feel like they'd have to be 3rd on the lineup to some epic sat and sun headliners. Radiohead Phish Whitestripes FTW... I wouldn't believe it for a second, but I can dream can't I??
And for the record Dead Weather are awesome too, eff ya'll.
