That version of the stage is semi-permanent. The concrete is permanent but the steel they have on top of it is temporary. Once everyone leaves roo this year they are going to put up permanent steel that from what I heard on the Youtube video, will be more pleasing to look at the the regular stage it.
Here's some pics from today 5-25-2010. Sorry about the crap quality. I guess digital zoom and bumpy roads didn't help the quality at all But it's better than nothing I guess!

Fuse Barn:

Sonic Stage Area? This is in the same area as the Sonic Stage last year, but it sure doesn't look like the Sonic Stage!

Not sure where this was:
I can only hope they cut the field again before the event, the grass is starting to get tall ;D

i think that picture you thought was the sonic stage is actually the solar stage. from the looks of the fuse barn pic, it appears that the same exact stage is off to the left of the pic, which would actually be fairly close to where the solar stage is always located.
and that pic of that tent, i believe is actually this tent. just my guesses.
either way, thanks for taking the time to go out and check how things are coming along. i'm guessing they got a lot of rain over the past weeks or month, and maybe that might have delayed setting up. i just don't know how they'll have everything good to go in pretty much 2 weeks. i don't know how they do it, but i think if we had to chance, we'd all send a big thank you to all those who physically put this magical moment together year in and year out.

Could it be the Lunar Stage/tent that they were going on about in those emails?
I think all they're planning to take care of this year in terms of the permanent stage is the concrete and the rest of the stage is going to be temporary until next year.

Yes, in comparison to Nashville we didn't get any serious flooding and minimal damage thank goodness! But overall we have had lots of rain lately, above normal which accounts for the nice green, but somewhat tall grass on the farm
Is it just me or is it weird that all these pics are taken during the day but I do not see a single worker.
EDIT: Anyone know what is going in the FUSE tent this year? I assume the contest winner just gets the upper level. Last year the live band karaoke was pretty cool and it was a nice place to get some shade.
Nope. Fuse *barn* is completely used inside. Only the winner and their 10 guests are allowed inside. 24 hour supervision to ensure that.
How do I know? I'm 1 of the guests! We get the main level but the loft level is actually reserved for the supervisor that watches over us to ensure we're following the code of conduct rules and whatnot. Anything Fuse related should be outdoors. Misting tent, cell phone charging station, hammocks, etc.
If you think about it, it's not really fair to have people makin noise and whatnot inside when we sleep there. There are bound to be people outside, of course, but it's less noise still.

so we should close centeroo just so you guys can sleep? If you think about it, you will be staying in cetenroo which will always have people in it. You really have no room to complain about anything.

oh, no no no. i didnt mean that at all. sorry! i was aware of the centeroo noise (and know it'll still be noisy with nearby music and all the people right outside), but with it being a fancy contest and whatnot, it doesnt make much difference if we dont have the place sectioned off for contest winners only. although, i do kinda wish i could have other friends chill too, but oh well. if it hadnt been closed off wouldnt have seemed all that different than just campin out in GA and deciding to chill there for the night or something, so i dunno how beneficial itd be for us that way. if they want us to sleep there yet have loud karaoke and whatnot, then i woulda been way annoyed and said i woulda rather camped out probably. I can deal with outside noise, but it just didn't seem like the barn/accomodation inclusion was that special if there was stuff goin on inside. Not that there isn't noise in regular camping areas and risk of theft of our belongings and whatnot that you gotta deal with regardless, but yeah. Not like i had a choice, but they had guidelines for us to follow and seemed silly if they make us sign papers and then let thousands others that are unaware of those rules. *shrugs* I wonder if they'll do this again next year. Wonder what made them wanna do it this year...
didn't at all mean to make it sound like we deserve complete quiet outside and are that privileged. we're gonna be surrounded by stages and whatnot...thats impossible. but maybe part of it is that its easier on them to keep track of 11 people vs thousands and then theres less chance of damage to their barn and whatnot. no smoking/lighters/drinking rule in there and stuff. i dunno.
i keep hearin people liked their karaoke though. (oh yeah! odwalla's doin that now, right? maybe thats why they dont have it now and wanted somethin more useful to use the barn for *shrugs*)
anyway... if anyone has some more pics in the next 2 weeks, feel free to give us 1 last glimpse before it's all finished and we see it in person! im excited! 1st Roo! feels so unreal still...
im pretty sure she was talking about inside the barn, not inside centeroo
"If you think about it, it's not really fair to have people makin noise and whatnot inside when we sleep there. "
yup. if you read closely, i hope that was more obvious. I'm not gonna be *that* selfish, lol. plus, i mean...how often am i gonna be sleepin? i hope not *too* much. centeroo is 24 hours and im fully aware of that.

Are you sure that isnt This tent going up?
ill never forget my first year, my friend and I were trying to figure out where we were and i asked him "Is this that tent?" and someone walking by overheard and says "No, that's This tent"

Aww dang!! That would've been fun to been 1 of the 10. But I have absolutely no reason to complain; I'll be able to walk home and sleep every night. I've never even been in the Fuse Barn the last 2 years I went to Bonnaroo so no idea what it looks like inside, lower or upper section. Maybe I can go in there sometime before or after the festival and look around.
I don't have anymore new pics, but I was FINALLY able to get the small brief video uploaded that I took. It's basically just the same pictures, but also two brief videos added along with it.
And as far as workers being present they were everywhere that day. I just made sure to avoid getting in their way or them being in the picture
yeah, well...they require us to leave on Sunday, and with limited times/tickets already, might get stuck leaving Sunday morning and missing all the good Sunday shows... So be glad you don't have restrictions, but yes...being in Centeroo is gonna be great. less time walking to camp and more music! (or more time to nap, lol) next year, if i can make it work with my schedule (ie, if i dont have school in summer), then i'll try to get the full experience. Get there early on Wednesday, see the Walmart crowd, camp out in Tent Only probably, and leave on Monday. And with it being their 10th anniversary, it's hopefully gonna be an epic lineup too.
thanks for the video! I love getting a visual and prepping myself for what's to come!
