So are they gonna put Jay-z on the what stage or the which stage? I think he almost has to do main stage. WHO get which stage then saturday? Thievery corp.

Theivery Corp will be in a tent. Nowhere near a big enough draw for Which Stage, plus I can't remember any electronica act being anywhere besides a tent.
I barely did late night last year, save Phish... meant to hit NIN but was a little too, er, suggestible to take in a spectacle like that. This roster of shows is just awesome, though; guess I'll sleep when I'm dead. Which could very well happen by sometime Sunday.
I imagine he'll be with the DJ additions. I actually hope he gets an evening set in silent disco or arcade discoteque, so I can actually check out his set with no serious conflicts. If he plays late night there's no chance.
edit#2: His myspace says he's playing Thur. So now I just need to hope for no conflicts with the xx or lotus

I never got the opportunity to say that I love the fact that they dropped the late night line up early this year. No schedule, but it's great to have something to talk about. I hope they do this in the future...

Yea I loved that they announced Phil & Friends / MMJ would be getting the prime late night slots in 08. Just gave us something more to look forward to. Releasing all the acts playing late nights is a simple yet effective way to get people excited. I also hope it continues in the future.
My nightmare scenario is FLips conflicting with Dan Deacon Ensemble. That's my top 1 and 2 right there, seriously.
There's a 90% chance this will happen. If they both play on Friday, which is expected, it will happen. If I were you I'd see Dan Deacon...you can see the Flips some other time a lot more easily than you can see Dan Deacon. Plus, with Deacon, you'll have a prime opportunity to have a great spot for whoever plays next, which is most likely Chromeo w/ Daryll Hall and LCD Soundsystem.
If you don't want to miss Darkside, you can leave at like 2 which is most likely gonna be after Dan Deacon and an hour into the next set. You won't be disappointed.

does anyone else think that because kol is HLing friday that we will have an early start on fridays late night? i think we could have record early starting times for friday late night, maybe even from as early as 1030 or so until 5 am which would allow for less conflicts

I think they both may end up closing a tent on different nights. I am fairly certain Deadmau5 will close a tent Saturday. I could see Bassnectar closing one Friday, or maybe playing before or after LCD or Black Keys. But he could end up being Saturday as well. In which the scenario of Bassnectar>Deadmau5 could be very likely.

well, a bassnectar-->deadmau5 tent would certainly make sense, but according to bassnectar's website, he's playing friday. and we're pretty much certain that deadmau5 is saturday night. not that bassnectar's website necesarily has to be accurate; because really, friday seems to be overloaded as is.
deadmau5 could potentially do a long set, but whatever the length, it probably needs to end by 5 am/sunrise, as his show is heavily light show intensive.
So are the Flips doing their DSOTM set at 2:30 still? If not, I'll just catch LCD Soundsystem instead.
I've thought about this. They said in an earlier interview they would be doing it. We haven't heard differently. This makes me think it's possible that they may just be doing DSOTM. That wouldn't make a whole lot of sense to me though. Someone needs to email Bonnaroo and ask. I guess that would be me.
