So, if you're like me, the late night is what makes Bonnaroo awesome. My friends and I always spend the majority of our pre-schedule drop debating about which bands will (or won't) do the late night. I think this particular lineup has more bands that COULD play late night than WILL. Other than the Lips, here are my predictions:
Deadmau5 LCD Soundsystem Medeski Martin & Wood Bassnectar Disco Biscuits Lotus (though I think they might be a Thursday act, ala Tea Leaf Green in '07) Kid Cudi Daryl Hall & Chromeo
What are yours? And feel free to discuss any and all things late night.
I'll add Thievery Corp., and hopefully Claypool to that list
I thought about Thievery, maybe you could take out Chromeo and put them in. As far as Claypool goes, probably not. He'll probably be an afternoon Which Stage act.
My prediction is gonna include headliners since the headliner situation last year was sort of a part of the late night. Thursday night late-night is just usually the last bands playing at the tents. Plus I think we see the late night What Stage implemented this year for both nights. And I think that the Disco Biscuits get the Umphrey McGee's treatment from 2008 and getting a mid-day set. Which isn't so bad because I have seen both during the day time elsewhere and still good shows.
Friday HL - Kings of Leon > Late Night What - Weezer Late Night Which - The Flaming Lips Friday Tent - Wale > Kid Cudi > Damien Marley and Nas Friday Tent - Bassnectar > DeadMau5 Friday Tent - SuperJam
Saturday HL - Stevie Wonder > Saturday Late Night What - Jay-Z Late Night Which - The Dead Weather Saturday Tent - Dan Deacon Ensemble > LCD Soundsystem Saturday Tent - Daryl Hall and Chromeo > Les Claypool Saturday Tent - Thievery Corporation
No way Weezer or The Dead Weather get late nights. Both of those seem to be afternoon sets to me and both have listed Saturday. I'd say Claypool and Disco Biscuits have a high likelihood of being late night. And I'd expect Jay Z to be the only late night What Stager.

I think you will see Jay-Z in a semi-late night (ala Phish) on Saturday, with Stevie getting an early headlining set. I would think Bisco would have to be a late night. Miike Snow as a possible late Thursday act.
I predict LCD Soundsystem will be this year's Animal Collective, the act everyone wants to see late night that ends up on the What Stage in the middle of the day.
And before you say it, Animal Collective was also "confirmed" as a late night act before the schedule came out...

I'm really going to have to consider selling my ticket if this happens

The fact that they scheduled Girl Talk, Paul Oakenfold, and Pretty Lights in the same timeslot last year was some bullshit. If they schedule Bassnectar and Deadmau5 at the same time I'm going to be pissed.

I just don't want LCD Soundsystem to conflict with the Lips. Although nuevodudezer brings up an excellent, albeit terrible point. The late nights are going to be the worst clusterjunk ever.

Bands I think will get a late night:
The Flaming Lips LCD Soundsystem Thievery Corporation Deadmau5 Bassnectar Kid Cudi The Disco Biscuits GWAR Lotus
don't really know how i'd put them on stages and whatnot, but I definitely don't want... the flaming lips, lcd soundsystem, thievery corporation, deadmau5, kid cudi, or the disco biscuits to be against each other... but i have a feeling at least 1 or 2 will.

^^^ agreed. What's the point of conflicting *all* the dance acts. God damn.
I'm hoping things are a little more spread out this year, but things might get crowded anyway. LCD Soundsystem and Flaming Lips are both going to be big late night acts, and hopefully they won't end up slated against each other. If Jay-Z gets added in things get even worse. I don't think they'll throw Jay against Flaming Lips though. Against LCD Soundsystem, maybe, which would be hard for me. Especially if it conflicts with more dance acts. Which it might, but hopefully they won't all be on the same quacking night this time.
As for other names being mentioned - Cudi maybe, but late night's going to be crowded as it is. Maybe.

I could see Phoneix closing the Which stage sunday or some other day spot. Maybe preheadline on Which. They blew up in popularity but I don't know if they'll get late night two years in a row.
