We should transform this into a discussion thread about the music of bands that are a possibility. Like we kinda did with KOL, NMH, Spoon, and Vampire Weekend. Oh and Contra is still not that good

Come on where was I supposed to put NMH?
Anyway I find Ezra's vocals to be rather annoying on much of the first half. I do like Giving Up the Gun, White Sky, and I Think UR Contra though. It seems to me that VW compromised pop sensibilities in attempt to be more mature on this one. I may just not "get" it yet, but I don't really like that term at all because if I don't like something after five listens I'm not going to force myself to listen to it over and over.
Garth Algar: Do you ever get the feeling Benjamin's just using us?
Wayne Campbell: Good call. It's like he wants us to be liked by everyone. I mean Led Zeppelin didn't write tunes everybody liked. They left that to the Bee Gees.

^ i like coffin, and he's the best replacement for roy, i think roy would've wanted it that way, but it still feels kind of wrong to me
and i'd like to have butch back. i think the band sounded so much better with a full time pianist. everything i've heard in the past couple years sounds as if they've lost that jazz sound and taken on a hard rock sound. a lot of that has to do with tim, and while i love tim also, i'm just craving and missing that sound from the early 00's. for a long time they were my favorite band. not so much anymore.

Vampire Weekend is on my list too, but they're listed as playing Saturday at the Isle of Wight so that won't be happening. With the exception of a few songs they were always just okay for me, but I love Contra.
I'd like to see Yeasayer again too now that Odd Blood is coming. I hope there are some repeats otherwise Coachella's card is really calling me...
