Pavement Friday Which pre headliner would be unbelievable. I wonder what Pavement's tour schedule will be like next year.
For those who are meh on the Pavement listen to Crooked Rain Crooked Rain first, and go from there. You really can't go wrong with any of their other stuff.

Woah! Thats awsome for all the people that wanted them! I hope this is legit.
And ahem ... (idio) I think you should try this as well.

Well though I'm not a big fan if this is in fact true I suppose worse things could happen. I hope they are not considered a top 6 line-up act, that wold be a waste imo. They should headline a tent or Which on Saturday (Coheed slot or Mars Volta slot from last year)
And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts
I hope it's true and the website didn't just confuse Bonnaroo with Sasquatch! 'cause that would suck. Saw them a couple of times in the early/mid nineties and they did not disappoint!

I guarantee Pavement won't be at Rothbury for you Pavement dislikers.
I would just as soon they stopped at Coachella. There are about 100 things I would rather see than a washed up 90's indie band at the farm. Of course lets be fair a one off mention from an English music blog is not really "confirmation".
I mean if I am missing something here let me know but after really looking into these guys I am seeing nothing special.

I don't really know how to explain their appeal. I love the guitars, Stephen Malkmus' voice/lyrics, song structure. I don't know it took me a few listens last year, but now there's really nothing of theirs that I don't love.

I really enjoy their albums but I have no desire to see them live. I hate these damn reunion bands that just get back together to play a few festivals. You were a great band, you had your time, now move on.

Agreed. I mean, if you were too young to even be aware of a band that you ended up loving years later, too smurfing bad. Who wanted to see the Rage Against the Machine reunion? I bet those Zimbabwe shows Dispatch put on sucked. And don't even get me started on Phish.
