Well since CoS is pretty adamant that The Rolling Stones and The Who aren't playing, it appears the field of possible Saturday headliners is getting very thin....
Trust me. Your gonna sh*t yourself in a few weeks and wonder why you doubted Superfly.
I have a feeling you're right. Coachella has a good lineup this year, but the *real* Roo lineup will be WAY better than any of the predictions in this thread.
Have you seen how weak Saturday is for Coachella? Roo is going to have a much better lineup...
Fail.
Let's see here, Faith No More- See there's this Mike Patton guy. He's kind of a big deal. MGMT- Surely, you were opposed to them at Roo? Dead Weather- See, there's this Jacky White guy.... Hot Chip Devo- One of the greatest bands ever. Major Lazer Dirty Projectors- Given a ridiculously unsavory slot at Roo last year. Gossip Les Claypool- You don't like him either? Mew- Killer prog, killer lights, killer show. Camera Obscura- Gorgeous, bright-shiney pop. Flying Lotus- !!!! Old Crow Medicine Show- You don't like any of the Roo veterans, I guess. Bassnectar- Dance partee. Pretty Lights- !!!! Almighty Defenders- ...will crush you. That band is King Kahn, BBQ and the Black Lips. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you still don't know who any of those people are, but they will still crush you. Portugal. The Man- Great Thurs. Roo set last year. Beach House- Teen Dream is easily one of 2010's Top Ten Records.
So, those are just the artists I happen to like whom are playing Coachella on Saturday. I will admit that Friday and Sunday are superior, but that's an amazing Saturday.

holy crap! This combo is blowing my mind. I cant believe I never heard of this.

Faith No More- Never been a fan MGMT- One of the worst live bands I've seen in my entire life. Dead Weather- By far Jack White's worst project, Horehound was painfully mediocre Hot Chip - Garbage besides "Over and Over" Devo- Never listened, but I respect what they've done Major Lazer - never heard of them Dirty Projectors- Bitte Orca was the most overrated album of 2009, besides possibly The xx Gossip- never heard of them Les Claypool- Deserving of respect, but no interest in seeing him. Mew- I don't like to use the word pretentious, but it's a perfect word to describe them. Camera Obscura- Have listened, never had the urge to listen again. Flying Lotus- Never listened Old Crow Medicine Show- This is a show I would be interested in seeing Bassnectar- Not a fan of his at all. Pretty Lights- Never listened Almighty Defenders- Never listened Portugal. The Man- Saw them at Lolla, were decent but nothing special. Beach House- Teen Dream has some good moments, but it was a little dissapointing. And it's not really a high compliment to call it a top 10 record of 2010, seeing as we are only 19 days into the year.

Certainly nowhere near close to amazing.

I meant for the whole year. Teen Dream is really great.

So, honestly, the record is a tad underwhelming. But only because both bands are sh*t hot and everything they do sounds like Zeus blowin' a load. It has some classic, Sam Cooke-psychedelia moments though.
Chico, send me a message and I'll send you a link...
Sorry to get so off topic and shizzz. Bonnaroo rules!

this is the prettiest one i've done so far. if i may say so myself.
You're f*cking insane. Both "The Warning" and "Made In The Dark" are fantastic albums.
Well, then you really can't judge, can you? By the way, they're great. If it doesn't make you move, nothing will.
Wrong.
Again, you can't really rate a band that you've never listened to, can you?
That's because it's pretty obvious your music taste is awful.
Are you kidding me?
Oh come on now - this is just ridiculous. You dismiss half the bands there because you've never listened to them. That's no sign that they're bad, it's a sign that you've got to expand your horizons before judging.
Not really - with some albums you just know. For instance, pretty much everyone knew upon release that "Merriweather Post Pavillion" was going to wind up one of the best albums of the year, regardless of what followed.

Dirty Projectors are awesome; Bitte Orca is divisive but not overrated. I've talked to a lot of people who just don't get it and a lot of people (myself included) who loved it.
That said, their place on the Coachella lineup doesn't mean much because we had them last year. And that was absolutely not a bad timeslot - that was just after the album had been released, back when no one (David Byrne excepted, apparently) knew who they were. And they put on a wonderful show which David Byrne himself showed up at. And that's something you can't expect to see in Indio this year.

Not crazy about two of the headliners (Jay-Z would be cool), but that's usually the case. This would be a nice lineup overall. And it really does look like a Bonnaroo lineup.
