I <3 your cats. And I believe that a single girl with more than 3 cats = cat lady. That's what the young men in their 20's tell me anyway. phew, i'm safe then.
What are your cat's names? booboo is the striped one, lola is the black one.
here is a picture of boo being a model:
and here is a funny picture of lola after i got her shaved last summer. she was not pleased. bahahahaha:
How long have you had them?
i got them both around the same time in 2006. i had lola by herself first and she was so lonely, b/c i was gone a lot. she cried, and cried. my mom found boo under a bush in her front yard and about a month after i got lola, she brought boo to switch them and she would take lola. well they spent one night together and no crying from lola! so they both stayed.
What is their daily schedule like? i.e. do they prance around on your bed meowing loudly or pawing at your face at 4am?
no set schedule other than boo going out in the evenings for a little. they are very vocal when they want food and its a crapshot when they will get on me about that.
also boo really sucks sometimes b/c she will put her goddamn butt in my face when i am sleeping, she knows how much i freaking hate it. i get mad and call her a butt slut and push her off the bed. haha
YESSSSSSS i love that comic. and yes that is totally my cats, they will invite me to frolic in the land of angels and then attack my hand like a nutcase.
Do your kitties have deep purrs or scratchy purrs? lola rarely ever purrs. boo's purrs are scratchy and quick.
Do your kitties like to get kitty-high on the nip? yes they do. they get all weird and roll around on the floor and rub themselves all over stuff.
also, i have to be really careful when i clean b/c i swear to god boo likes to get high off bleach cleaner. one time i caught her licking the bottle when i put it down and then she was having high eyes and rolling around. and now everytime i have it out, i have to kick her out of the room intervention style!
How do you like being a teacher in Texas? Probably pretty ignorant of me, but I don't picture a whole lot of Texan parents appreciating educators all that much, but what do I know. Oh and the whole state curriculum fiasco from a couple years ago.
Did you always want to be a teacher or did you have a different job in mind when you were little? For example, I wanted to be Indiana Jones when I was in third grade.
If you could be in any band, which band would it be?
If you could fight any historical figure, who would it be?
1. How excited are you to share a room with me at Moog? 2. Will you accidentally drop your towel a few times for me? Or perhaps even drop the soap? 3. Will you be more likely to be the first one up in the morning, or will I be tiptoeing when I get up? 4. When we stumble downstairs for the continental breakfast (THAT IS OPEN UNTIL NOON, DUDE!), are you more likely to hit the fruit, the bagels, the cereal, or just sit there and inject coffee into your veins? 5. Will I hear you sing in the shower?
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Dude, Apocalypse, while a complete badass, is a super villain, not a super hero.
THANK YOU NED. flanzo, all trying to "quiz" me and putting trick answers. bunk.
What's your favorite book of all time and why? this is hard! maybe cliche but i'm going to say the first harry potter. i read it nearly 18 yrs ago when i was a little 5th grader. my family went to london that year and the version i read was the british one, called harry potter and the philosopher's stone. i don't even think it is the best of the series but i would say that was the beginning of my career as a reader who loves all things magical, supernatural etc. (nerd alert!)
If you could live in any other city in the world, which would it be?
nyc or amsterdam.
i tried to get a teaching job in nyc when i graduated from my master's but they were having a big surplus problem.
here is a picture of me the first time i ever went to NYC. i was 14 and went with a student group. we did all the cliche shiz, so it was perfect. my family has probably been back 6 or 7 times since then and we NEVER do touristy stuff, so i'm glad i got to do the statue of liberty, empire state building etc. the first time i was there:
i got to study abroad in london when i was in college and while i was there traveled to amsterdam. as an art history major, could not have loved it more.
here is one of my favorite pictures i took there. beeeeeeeeer:
and here is a picture of me and one of my old sorority sisters in front of the sea palace in amsterdam, europe's largest floating chinese restaurant. it is also right next to the botel (a hotel that's a BOAT).:
i'm a big city girl at heart, i love being able to walk out your front door and within a block you have a grocery store, a bank, clothing stores etc. plus you can't beat the music, art, shows and such in those two cities. i also love riding the subway, trams, metro, trains etc for some weird reason. haha
Who is your favorite Rangers coke head? ned, this is pretty sassy for you. i thought you were a "nice" guy. now i know the truth!
well to be honest, i do NOT like josh hamilton. all the players get to pick their song when they come up to bat and his is a jesus song, no thank you.
current favorite ranger: ian kinsler old favorite ranger: obviously everyone loves nolan ryan, but i'm going to go with rusty greer. he was a big player when i first started going to games in middle school.
If you were in a zombie apocalypse, would you rather be in an urban or rural environment? Run me through a quick survival strategy.
on the one hand, an urban environment might have more resources, but i think it has been proven time and again that rural is the way to go in these things. less people, more open spaces.
i am probably more a "hider" in this scenario. make some kind of fortress, maybe a quacking master tree house and hole up there.
eh who are we kidding, i'd probably be dead pretty quick. i'm counting you guys to save me.
i got to study abroad in london when i was in college and while i was there traveled to amsterdam. as an art history major, could not have loved it more.
How do you like being a teacher in Texas? Probably pretty ignorant of me, but I don't picture a whole lot of Texan parents appreciating educators all that much, but what do I know. Oh and the whole state curriculum fiasco from a couple years ago.
haha well i guess there are states where it is much better to be a teacher than texas and i'm sure there are some where it is much worse.
teaching for me is the first job i've ever had where i wanted to give my best, ALL the time. i've bought food, clothes, shoes for kids. i've cried endless tears for small children who weren't fed dinner the night before or who lived in crack dens. i see who these little people can be and what i wish for them to bring to society, and i struggle everyday to make sure i'm doing my best b/c how can i ask that of them if i'm not doing it myself?
as far as curriculum stuff goes, texas is crazy. we know this. i guess in a way, i'm lucky i teach preK so i'm not really affected by any nuts stuff specifically. but you can bet your bottom dollar when i taught older grades and we talked about say, animal characteristics, that i brought up evolution and we talked about it. if they want to haul me away for those kind of things, so be it. my principal is pretty cool, he is NOT a micromanager at all and he likes me, which is bomb. he probably comes in my room like 2 times a year and its usually to talk music or something else geeky.
but the hardest part about teaching is by FAR the parents (and the fucking old moth balls i work with who refuse to change their teaching practices). i've had parents scream at me, cuss at me, tell me i know nothing. i had a mom threaten to follow me home this year and i had to file a police report. i teach 4 yr olds mind you. unfortunately i do not feel like my problems are specific to texas, every day teachers are losing more and more rights, being forced to walk on eggshells while the parents have no accountability.
Did you always want to be a teacher or did you have a different job in mind when you were little? For example, I wanted to be Indiana Jones when I was in third grade.
when i was really young, my mom used to dress me in little themed outfits with bows and shiz and i was realllllly girly. i wanted to be a ballerina then.
here i am when i was five in a matching xmas outfit my mom forced me to wear:
in middle school and highschool i wanted to be a veterinarian, but my senior year in HS i took AP biology for once semester and peaced the quack out.
If you could be in any band, which band would it be?
its easy to pick one of my favorite bands, like radiohead, the beatles or something in that vein, but the truth is, i wouldn't want the fame that goes along with that.
i'd much prefer to be a smaller band, where i could rock out but still go out for a beer with my friends like a semi-regular person. of any band playing now that i listen to, i'd probably like to basically be erika from the heartless bastards. they have put out constantly good music the past 6/7 years, get to travel to small venues and play for people who are there just to see them. i've also seen them at ACL and bonnaroo, so they get to do the big fests early in the day. i think i'd like that b/c i'd be enjoy the rest of the fest.
If you could fight any historical figure, who would it be?
1. How excited are you to share a room with me at Moog? me, you, rdk AND noage? i'm pumped, our room is the best. anyone who says otherwise is jelly.
2. Will you accidentally drop your towel a few times for me? Or perhaps even drop the soap? yes and yes, but we have to make sure the boys are gone first.
3. Will you be more likely to be the first one up in the morning, or will I be tiptoeing when I get up? def you, i'm not a morning person. you don't have to tiptoe though! i will for sure be bringing ear plugs. haha
4. When we stumble downstairs for the continental breakfast (THAT IS OPEN UNTIL NOON, DUDE!), are you more likely to hit the fruit, the bagels, the cereal, or just sit there and inject coffee into your veins? frosted flakes and a banana please!
5. Will I hear you sing in the shower? hahaha i do sing in the shower all the time, but i will try and spare you all b/c i do indeed like you.
What is/was your all time favorite Walt Disney movie?
little mermaid
or
bed knobs and broomsticks. (yeah, random. i know.)
What's your favorite kind of soup?
chicken tortilla
What are 3 things you hate doing during the day that you have to do?
i'm going to approach this from a work day stand point:
-waking up early -any sort of housework -putting on a sugar face for parents at my job and not being able to tell them everything i actually would. haha
How excited are you about Moog?
Name your top 3 favorite clothing outlets(stores, websites, whatever):
IF you were a professional sports player, which sport would you play?
If you could live in any home on a television series, what would it be?
Who's your favorite Muppet?
What's the best costume you've ever worn?
i've loved dressing up in costumes my whole life. in college i was in a sorority and we had mixers which were always themed, so i had extra excuses to get drunk in costumes. that was awesome.
i don't think i've ever had a costume that was the BEST though.
here is me when i was little as a pumpkin:
here is me as an angel at halloween one year in college:
and here is me as harry potter after i graduated one year haha:
What's the best bargain you've ever found at a garage sale or thrift store?
this is my favorite xmas decoration, i think it is from the 70's. it cost $5.99.
What's your favorite Dr. Seuss book?
If you had to be named after one of the 50 states, which would it be?

Why do you hate NoD?Airline? Bacon? Karosko? AWTD? Me?
ok the first thing this tells me is you don't read (or remember) anything that doesn't have to do with yourself. three of those names don't even belong in there....
bacon is my BFF. if you even read 1 or 2 of my posts since we've been back from roo, you would know this.
karosko is one of the dueling pistols on this forum, i have nothing but love for dj hair flipz. in fact, i gave him the head's up with the flipz and the rest is history. now we are in the derailment gang with bonz and flanzo and we rule.
airline is a sassy garbage eater, but we love each other and that is that.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------ as far as the rest of you.....
AWATD, i don't have that big of an issue with. the batman thing was weird, it felt like he was attacking me and then he kind of started whining that i was attacking him. i dunno. you boys know how i feel about the old chat.
and you and noD....well in my mind you are just two peas in a pod. one just happens to be the quiet, awkward one and the other is the loud, out of control one.
for the record, let me state i do not HATE anyone. do i strongly dislike you and/or the way you post on here? absolutely. i dislike the way you pretend you know more than everyone. i dislike the style in which you go out of your way to make people feel inferior or dumb. i dislike the semi-trolling the two of you do to piss people off, when you KNOW that is the only expected outcome. you make judgements on people's lives, their families, their jobs, their choices. that is not right IMO.
yes, we come here to debate and yes, this place would be boring if we all agreed...but i'm finding it just a tad bit old hat that every single fucking time people get into it on here...well look who it is, juggs and/or noD.
all ya'll simmer down. i am not a sexist. i just point out the discriminations that are going down and no one likes that. i don't treat men in an inferior way and i just got told two pages ago, that i'm basically a big hoochie who loves all the boys on here. you fools need to make up your minds.
where does your hatred of chipper jones come from?
i don't hate chipper jones, i just say shit to give you a hard time. i'll be sad when his robot heart gives out.
Which of these was your favorite steroid era Ranger? Juan Gonazalez, Pudge Rodriguez, Rafael Palmeiro?
oh by far:
i was going to pick him as my favorite ranger when ned asked. but then i thought all you fools would jump on me b/c even though he technically retired with them, he wasn't on the team his whole career.
You've consistently expressed disdain for "boy music". What are three bands that lean towards this category that you are OK with and might see live? -NIN -live -blur (?? i dunno if they count. seriously i don't like boy music.)
Besides 2012 (because that was obviously the most kickass) what was your favorite Bonnaroo and why was it so special? 2008. my first year to go, i went with three of my friends from three different stages of my life. we camped next to a group of four canadian guys and we all had a great weekend.
here is my friend from work, me, my friend from HS and my friend from college at 6:30am after kanye. i look rough. haha
What is your favorite full set you saw at Bonnaroo ever and why was it so special?
pearl jam 2008. it was pretty surreal being there with the group we camped with, feeling the whole experience of bonnaroo at once. it was amazing when wine drunk eddie vedder looked out at the crowd and said "this is fucking beautiful". that's when i realized i was in a different universe when i was at bonnaroo.
What is your favorite ACL full set you saw.... and why is it so special? arcade fire's set in 2007 with my best friend and her brother. we got fairly close and anyone who has seen AF knows how superb their shows are.
What is your favorite concert of all time?
eek! i hate picking favorites.
i've been so very, very luck to have seen a lot of really great music in my life. from the living beatles, to clapton, to garth brooks, to tina turner and the rolling stones. but i'd probably have to say
radiohead 2012. it was my first time seeing them, blew my mind for sure and moved me in so many ways.
If you could put a magic wand of one world problem to solve, what would it be? ignorance.
If you could eat corn with any celebrity/public figure you wanted, who would you want to share that with?
i could say something deep here, but i'm just going to be superficial and go with the hot guy answer....
