I know I'd be disappointed if roofan's prediction came true. What's the payoff? I personally still think Walt dies of cancer, but then I feel like someone (Hank) HAS to find out.

I know, I kinda want Hank to find out as well, but I think it would just be too awesome if Skylar took over and "Heisenberg" continued to operate right under Hank's nose.
When the chief was talking to Hank and his partner (name???) right after he got fired, he was talking about how he had Gus at his home and stuff, and how he was right under hid nose the whole time, did y'all see the look on Hank's face? His wheels are surely turning. Hank is a great investigator with excellent instincts!
Aside from my awesome prediction of the ending that I know wont ever happen, I see Hank figuring Walt out around episode 13 or 14. I think that is more likely to happen that the ending I predicted. I just think that final shot of the handshake turning to a picture, and zooming out to the see the board with a big ? in the middle would be great! Wont happen though.

Yeah, when that happened my brother yelled "Holy sh*t he knows!" Probably a bit of an overreaction and I don't know if he still thinks that, but Hank's reaction was definitely something to take note of.
Like I said....I think a majority of people on the show will die
I don't know. Killing random kid is one thing. Killing a baby is a whole other.
Just based on Vince Gilligan's quotes about how Walt will do such terrible things this season to make us not root for him....I think something happens to his kids because of it.
I doubt they do kill the baby on the show.....but if any show on TV right now would have the balls to do it I think it'd be this one.
I don't think the cancer ends up killing Walt. I think he dies by other means or is left all alone while his family and friends are gone (some left, some killed).
Thinking about the flash forward at the beginning of ep1 where he was in the diner and made the 52 with the bacon. That is one year later than last weeks episode (51). He looked really bad in that scene. Hair regrown, but haggard as hell! Appeared to be quite alone in the world. I wouldnt be surprised to see the last 8 episode set further into the future, closer to Walt's 52 b-day. At least at this point, we KNOW he makes it one more year.
OH, and BTW: Do y'all have any idea how hard it has been to avoid this thread while we were catching up? So happy to be able to participate now!
And I know it has been said over and over, but the demise of Gus scene, from him pulling up into the parking lot of the nursing home, til the time he walked out of the room, half-a-face gone, was one the most intense and incredible scenes I have ever witnessed on TV. I loved the music that was playing and him being shown from the back as he walked into the nursing home. Then after the blast, to pause and straighten his tie!!! Damn, live as a badass, die as a badass!

Yeah, more of my thoughts than is probably good are currently trying to deduce where this set of 8 episodes leaves off. Does Walt kill off Mike? Does the cancer come back? Does Skyler break out of her "prison"? Does a larger threat to Walt show up? Does Hank start to openly suspect Walt? So many options!

I agree that I can see Walt's cancer coming back and Skyler making a power move when he becomes weakened, but I think her power move will be to turn him in in an attempt to protect her remaining family, not take over the business. Isn't there some sort of protection given for people who narc others out, even if they had a hand in the crime for a time? (Have I seen too much Sopranos?)
Maybe Walt will catch wind of her plan to turn him in and decide he won't be going down without a fight and seek revenge on her and anyone she is working with who is against him. Plus if he's as sick as he looks in the flash forward he'll have nothing to lose at that point. And he'll want to "win." I just hope neither of the kids become collateral damage.
1. I don't think Skyler WANTS the business if/when Walt's gone. 2. I think Walt will either: a.) die a painful, unexpected (i.e., non-cancer) way or b.) live just to piss us all off. 3. Of the 2 kids being expendable, my bet's on Flynn. He loves his car too much for that not to factor somehow in his demise, should it come to that... 4. I doubt the baby dies. Hope so, even if the kid spells her name the wrong way.

I don't think a weakened Walt gets taken over by Skyler. In the flash forward scene on his 52nd Birthday he's not wearing a wedding ring and seems healthy enough (even though he does have a brief cough). At least healthy enough to not be so weak that Skyler takes over.
I think at the point in the flash forward....his relationship with Skyler is over....whether that means she's dead, the family left him, he left, or whatever.....I think at that point he's alone.

Yeah I don't think she'll want to take over the business, she seems too terrified by it. Which is why I think she'll attempt to turn him in and get straight murdered by Walt (which may be the indefensable thing Walt will do, seeing as she'll be doing it to protect her family).
Good point on Flynn's love of that dang car. His greed could cost him.
I hope hope hope the baby lives, and that Hank raises her. His fondness for her is too sweet. And it would make sense that Walt would feel more comfortable with her being raised by him than Skyler, shrinking some of the guilt over killing her.

The car for Walt Jr. is an interesting one. People were speculating that drugs would maybe end Walt Jr.'s life (if he happened to get involved with the wrong crowd or something) but others claimed that "speed" would kill him. Not "speed" the drug but maybe "speed" like a car accident after going to fast.
Also, put me in the camp for "Hope that Hank lives and raises the baby".
What are the BB sites you're visiting, lazybutterfly? I'd like to feed my addicition, but I'm too scared of legit spoilers to look too hard for other websites on my own.
Thanks
I actually browse around the official BB site, reading the comments on blogs and extras; most of it is crap, but some are rather interesting.
And the rest I find on the tumblr BB tag, which I endlessly scroll for hours.

Do you guys listen to the Inside Breaking Bad podcasts? It's on the official site and is done by the crew (and sometimes cast). They do one for each episode and really flesh out the plot and reasons for specific choices. It's usually really interesting and they sometimes bring up plot ideas that were dropped or changed which is fun to know.

I don't think Holly will die. A lot of people think it might happen because she's always in pink and as we know pink represents death in this show. However, wearing pink does not necessarily mean the character wearing it gets killed. Walt was wearing pink when the plane went down and people around him were dead. Therefore, I think people around Holly will die (who right now is Hank, Marie, and Jr.). I can't really think of how it will happen but I do picture Hank, Marie, and/or Jr. getting killed while Holly is in her crib or something in another room. Just a hunch, absolutely cannot wait for Sunday.
My theory is that Walt's unforgivable act is letting Hank get killed. I think after last week's ending things are going to start going off the deep end. Walt is going to try and kill all of Mike's guys that are locked up, and to exact revenge, Mike will kill Hank. -OR- Hank will get close to finding out due to some slip ups. He eventually does find out. An episode could end with a Walt and Hank confrontation (something we've been waiting for since season 1) and then the episode will end with Mike or Walt killing Hank. (At this point it would be difficult to say who.
Somehow Skylar would trace it back to Walt, whether he actually did it or not, and that would be considered "unforgivable", Skylar would take the kids and Marie and get the hell out, feeling that Walt is definitely now the danger.
I don't think Jr. is going to die, but I do think he will learn the truth about his dad by the end.

I think Hank will find out a lot sooner than the end of the series. It really wouldn't shock me if the ending to these 8 episodes included him finding out.
I haven't kept completely up with this thread, but has the Heat connection been discussed? In the last episode, Hank tells Walt Jr. "I just picked up Heat on Blu-Ray, wanna watch it with me later?". The synopsis to Heat, according to IMDB: "A group of professional bank robbers start to feel the heat from police when they unknowingly leave a clue at their latest heist." More specifically, a new member of the group kills someone without the permission of other members. Gilligan never puts anything, even the smallest reference, into the show without a reason.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

Jay, Lazy butterfly brought it up in the last couple pages. In addition, there was the Scarface and the Caine Mutiny reference. All potentially are foreshadowing to the end.
Also, the consensus seems to be that you are okay to post things without a spoiler tag as long as it is from an episode that has already aired, so your spoiler post doesn't need to be hid.
