I'll be fresh on the market when 'roo rolls around. My girl is moving to Columbus at the end of May, and neither of us are huge on the long distance thing. It actually really sucks, I've been growing very fond of her these last few months... but if you love something give it away. But the single mingle is going to be pretty far from my head at 'roo. I'm looking forward to shakin' toosh, not grabbin' it.

Ok...as crazy as it sounds...gotta pull my clocks and horns off the singles list...I wish I could explain it but seriously, it would take the whole day to write it out and I am way to excited for all of that!
Needless to say, THIS YEAR'S ROO WILL BE BEYOND IMAGINATION FOR ME!

Hooray! Congrats Madman! That's awesome.
If all goes well for me I might be off the market by the time Roo rolls around too! I tossed the chef and engineer into the friendzone. I'm done with them. Today I met Mr. Perfect while swimming laps at the gym. He has an amazing body and swims ridiculously fast with perfect form. He's sweet and flirty. We had a good time. I'll be pouring all of my energy into this one so I can't be wasting my time on the other two. Cross your figures & think happy thoughts guys! I really want this one to work out.

I managed to luck out & get the last spot in the Fuse contest! flying down now. I never thought I'd do that but sure beats all that gas money & long wait in line!

Congrats, lady. That's pretty damn awesome! Next year I should totally enter more 'roo related contests. I spent my whole lot last Friday on my ticket, and not having money these last couple weeks has been a drag... then I remember I'm going to Bonnaroo, and I can't help but smile. Can't wait to see all you Infooroosters there! ;D

Totally Awesome! Glad it worked out for you in the end.

Thanks Ellie! Went swimming with the boy again this afternoon. He smoked me again. One of these days I'll beat him. Had a nice lunch after. We're planning to go biking at some point when it stops raining. He's really shy. It's cute. Of course, I'm no better around him - he makes me totally stupid. I swear my brain stops working when I'm around him. The whole thing is really trippy though since this is the first time dated anyone shorter than me. The guys I date are usually 5'10" or taller. I would've guessed he was about 5'9" but when we first met it was in the pool so I only ever saw him horizontally through a bunch of water as we were both moving. It wasn't until we got out that I noticed I was towering over him. 5'2" would be an optimistic estimate; he's probably a little shorter than that. Maybe this is the change of pace my love life needs though. Start dating shorter guys for better luck.
I'm so glad you're coming to Roo! You need to track me & Monkey down so you can do some skipping with us.
Aw cute! I'm 5'2" myself & often gravitate to guys around 5'7". I can't personally see myself being with anyone shorter than 5'5", but who knows what the future holds.
Thanks guys! Can't wait to finally meet you all! Awesome 1st Roo for sure. I gotta leave early Sunday, but its worth it & ill be exhausted by then anyway.

I'm 5'5". I never thought I'd dip below 5'10" and now I'm chasing someone who's maybe 5'2" if even that. Sometimes strange things happen. Chemistry is weird like that.
You have to leave early Sunday?? But you'll miss Phoenix. Try to hitch a ride back so you can see Sunday shows.
The catch with Fuse is that travel has to be between the 10th & 13th, but we're trying to get it so that we get the latest flight we can. If I get a ride out, then I have to make sure I've got the gas money to pitch in. My friends going are taking the Greyhound there & back. We'll see. I gotta get my paperwork in & then I can talk to the travel agent I think.

I think that's part of why he's so shy. He's a little weirded out that I'm taller than him. I guess I won't be wearing any heels or boots in the near future. Not such a bad sacrifice though.

But if he's 5'2", how often does he expect to be the taller one in a pairing?

I would still imagine most of the time since guys are weird like that and a lot of girls refuse to date guys who are shorter than them or at least shorter than a certain minimum height. Sad but true. He's not my standard type but he's an amazing swimmer and that was enough to sell me on him.

Well, whatever makes you happy and treats you well... can't go wrong.
Ellie that's awesome!!! What was the fuse competition about, was it that facebook thingie? Daisy! Woohoo for the swimmer! My experience with taller girls, even tho Im 5'10", has been 'success' Goodtimes get better if u're creative. See you lovelies at the roo!

Oh Tank, we've missed you. Thanks. I'm hoping there's some success on this one. And trust me, I've been having a lot of creative thoughts. A LOT. This boy has been fast tracked. If he doesn't make a move soon I'm going to have to take things into my own hands. It figures that the one time I actually want a guy to invite me back to his place he takes his sweet time doing so. Besides, what could be more romantic than a movie and popcorn under the covers during a thunderstorm?
Tank, it was through the Fuse/Twix contest website. The winner & 10 friends get 3 nights in the fuse barn right in Centeroo. Ac, kitchen access, sofas, etc. Transportation to & from your house & airport & to/from airport to Roo. 1 case of Twix bars for the group & portapotties only for us & Fuse employees to use. Meet & greet with Dawes too. It's real sweet. I just wish we were allowed to take pictures & bring friends in to show it off. And now I feel kinda bad I bought gazebos, a tarp, battery-powered fans, etc
I plan on seeing something else in Mass. the night before.
I don't plan on doing any major festivals besides 'roo, not enough $$$. If some bands I like come around through New England (cough Rush cough), I'll do that instead.
ah ok. I liked how Starscape is only $60 and not too far from me so less gas money, but I definitely understand what you're sayin. That's why I figured if I don't get a volunteering position at Desiderata, then I'm not going. The gas and food alone can be costly, so I don't want to add a ticket on top of that when I don't have a stable income yet.
