Greetings from Bear Creek!
It is hard to believe that it has been more than six months since we were together at Bear Creek 2008. The memories of that incredible weekend of musical collaboration and community still feel remarkably fresh. As the summer festival season starts to crank up and gather steam, we wanted to let everyone know some important information about Bear Creek 2009 and other Bear Creek related events. Post Wanee Festival Benefit Concert for Zach Deputy
On Sunday June 7, The Bear Creek Music and Art Festival and The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park will host a benefit concert for beloved performer Zach Deputy immediately after the Wanee Festival. On March 13th, 2009, Zach Deputy's tour truck with all of his musical gear was stolen from a parking lot in Paramus, NJ. Zach performs more than 250 shows per year throughout the Eastern United States and Canada and is on the road nearly 300 days per year. We hope fans and friends of Zach Deputy will take this opportunity to help him replace his stolen gear and equipment. On this date, Zach will play two long sets of music for guests to enjoy. The first set runs from 4:30Pm until 6:00PM so that folks that need to get home for work on Monday can attend. The second set of music will start at 8:00Pm and will run till nearly midnight. As for admission, Wanee Festival weekend pass holders are asked for a minimum $10 donation at the door. Those coming just for the evening's show will be asked for a minimum donation of $15. Camping for the evening is only $10.

Does anybody think they'll be adding the wailers for Sunday? It kind of goes with the theme of having a reggae act opening what stage, as well as the theme for what stage that day. Plus they are in Chattanooga for the Riverbend Festival.

I don't care what you say about me, just spell my name right---P.T. Barnum "As I was walking up the stairs I met a man who wasn't there He wasn't there again today I wish to God he'd go away."
there are a few potential spots open on the schedule.
Friday: potential late night spot on Which after Phish finishes up on What, although Phish may turn into an all nighter on What.
Saturday: Other tent late night after Ben Harper, unless his 2.5 hour set that the mindreader set has is correct.
Sunday: Opening slot on What stage is open as well as closing out the Other tent.
so theres potentially 4 sets that can be filled, and one of them will be the Super Jam, so that leaves the possiblity of 3 other slots, one of which id guess be an electronic act if we get a late night add on Sat.
