GAH. Yes! And twinkletoes, I'm pretty bummed b/c I had a lot of faith in that rumor, too. Spiritualized was, hands down, the best set I saw at ACL in September.

I'd definitely like to see Dredg there too! also wish Fleet Foxes would be there, and i could name several others, but I just don't see them adding a band like Porcupine Tree to the lineup still.
Yes I suppose I should, but I love Bonnaroo to much to stay such a thing. I see your point have some Karma.
I guess the animosity was directed towards Tool for being self centered enough to try to prevent 80 thousand people from getting a camera in for the entire day so it wouldn't ruin their show. I could understand if they imposed this at one of their stand alone concerts, but at a festival its just rediculous. anywho back on topic!
In no way am I smiting you for this but just having a friendly argument. I am not sure who's fault it is for not letting the crowd know about Tool's policy about the flash photography. Maynard also had to ask the crowd during Wings of Marie to please not use flash photos. I see where he is coming from tho. I mean it was a hell of a light and laser show that played upon the smoke and how the laser reacted to the smoke by looking like clouds and then being completely dark and so on. Think about 100,000 people randomly taking pictures of the crazy lasers and stuff then it would totally take a lot away from the show. I understand where you are coming from thought cause I too have camped in BFE 3 years in a row. But you can't really cuss Tool for wanting us to have an awesome experience and it has nothing to do with them being self centered! Good day.
im not gonna smite either...just kind of carry on the debate, and this is all my .02..but i have seen tool twice...once a few years ago...and once on the 10,000 days tour...both times...no cameras...and the first on was a standard show without the exceptional lasers....i have seen APC...once again, standard show.....no cameras EVER allowed....and a buddy has seen tool quite a few times and he was never allowed a camera....im sorry, but it wasnt because tool wanted us to have an "awesome experience" its because maynard is a weiner....A Genius weiner....but a weiner none the less
also, they did not even have an encore for the 10,000 days tour or during apc.....and i dont think the roo got one either...i think the only thing tool did special, was only one song....granted one of the best tool songs..but nothing really worth mentioning.....also they asked during to show for no cameras at all the shows, and even thanked for not using them..here in peoria, even though were flashes
Interesting update from Ween. Could Bonnaroo be a possibility?
Drummer Claude Coleman has rejoined Ween, according to an article printed last week in the Athens Banner-Herald. Coleman took a leave of absence from the group last year and lead singer Gene Ween has spent the past few months focusing on his new Gene Ween Band with Ween bassist, Dave Dreiwitz, drummer Joe Russo and guitarist Scott Metzger. “Last summer, Mickey decided he wanted to concentrate on fishing, and our drummer (Claude Coleman) quit, but now he's decided to come back, so we're going to get on the ball quickly,” Gene Ween said in a statement. “We're going to do a bunch of shows this summer and we've got a new guitar player, too , which is something I wanted (Mickey) to think about for our fast-paced songs. I'll continue to play my bluestring solos, but this will give me a chance to focus more on singing.”
The Gene Ween Band’s next performance will take place at Ithaca, NY’s Castaways on April 9. Ween currently has no tourdates scheduled.
