Still a lot of stuff I need to get or make.
is the green kind the right one to get? i read on the boards it is invaluable for the manliness, so i was going to pick up some for husband and i dont want to get the wrong kind.
i am so excited too! i started my lists of stuff to get. all the camp gear is in the camp closet. we need more of the replaceable stuff: baby wipes, sanitizer gel, energy drinks, gin in plastic, beer..., a flag of some sort! i like the bubbles idea. i need to find the spray-y fan.

I too am about to drag my stuff out of the closet and make a pile much to my wife's disliking. I've already been told that my Roo Gear has to stay outside in the shed next year.
It sucks having a wife who's not into Bonnaroo but it's cool to get to go by myself and not have her drive me insane the whole time I'm there.
Set up the new tent in the front yard yesterday....I hated to take it down. I've never wanted to be hot, sweaty, sunburned, dehydrated, and tired so bad in my life.

The green or yellow is good, don't get the blue as that is for feet only. Green produces a nice tingling sensation on the guy's family jewels, while I believe yellow is the same thing without tingling goodness.
Just aired out the tent this weekend, oh boy did it ever need it. That was one nasty funk, but it's all good now. We have a pile started in the spare room now: Tent, Easy-UP, Cooler, Air Mattress, Mag-lite, folding chairs. Only the big stuff so far really.
Our Roo pile is currently getting reorganized and consolidated. With our new additions this year (EZ-Up, shower tent, inverter/battery, etc), I want to make sure we're not bringing thins we don't need or didn't use last year. It is a lot of fun pulling out food thats over a year old, or mud soaked rolls of toilet paper that haven't been touched since July. Ah, memories...
I have used my camping gear regularly since Bonnaroo because I love camping so that would never happen. But even then the first thing I do when I get back from Tenn. is clean everything out. You're lucky you didn't have a bunch of creepy crawlers living in you gear for the past year.

this is the same at my house, every year I ask if she wants to go and every year she says no you go ahead.... then I get the evil eye every time she walks by the evergrowing pile.....

Thank God, I thought I was the only one. I bet she rolls her eyes everytime you start talking about Bonnaroo?

I make an effort not to bring it up otherwise it is used as a tool to get the chores done around the house.
My most recent mistake spending more time sewing twinkle lights into our camp flag than I did planning and executing mothers day gifts. (priorities)

That's hilarious. Me and the Mrs. got into it over building a flag too. I was all stoked about how I was gonna do it and she just couldn't see what the big deal was about it. And then it went into that whole "what's important to me is not important to you" thing.

My wife just said yesterday that it's time to pull the Roo pile out of the closet and make a list of what we need to get for this year. Ah, no "what's important to me" conversations.

rub it in man, rub it in.
Actually I'm kind of glad my wife's not into the Roo thing. It gives us a chance to have a break from each other. Which I think is good for a marriage.
I can't be in a marriage where we're up each other's @ss all the time. BTDT.
For better or worse, my 'roo pile was started when& where I laid my duffel bag down last year when I got home. I should probably do a 'dry run' with my equipment so I don't have any surprises when I get to the farm... as I recall, we played a lot of 'find the smell' in the tent last year, hopefully it was just someone's socks or shoes. Don't want to have to deal with a year-old 'roo funk.

My Roo pile is in a few places in and around the house. My festie backpack is in the same spot I left it after taking inventory after last year. I have a flat of bottles H2O in the deep freezer, 2 thrity packs of Coors Light (free, I might add... we have a friend who works at a liquor store that doesn't take inventory) in the garage waiting for a cooler the day before we leave, and most of our Roo Pile lies within the RV.
I can't wait! I was listening to last year's MMJ and 07's Mule shows in the car today and got a bit teary thinking about the Farm!
My Roo pile is growing everyday and luckily my girlfriend is into roo as well so it only bothers her a little bit when from Dec- June all I talk about it what we need for Roo!
i am so stupid excited i think i am finally starting to drive husband insane. hehe. well as soon as chicky gets her present (sleeping bag with printout of lineup so i can say "your'e going to rooo!!") i will have her to obsess over packing and details with.
Coolest Parents Ever.
...And I'm glad I'm not psychotic for already having my list/roo pile... I CANT WAIT!

It's so nice to see that I am not alone. I annoy my gf when all I talk about is roo and getting ready for roo. I hung out with Wolfaroo last night and we talked about, you guessed it, getting ready for Bonnaroo. He was sporting the INforoo tshirt, which is very nice. My pile is almost complete, but I am starting to go bonnabroke.
