Mine is bob marley's "could you be love"...no idea why...probably because i was driving from colorado my first 'roo and that was the only cd in my car.
No question for me. Plus, if you have the DVD from 2004 the images for that song are awesome.
I went down to Warren solo by myself because none of my group wanted to go down to it. But I'm pretty sure that was Bonnaroo 03...I fully agree on the dvd, I just think you're off a year
One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain. So hit me with music. Hit me with music, now, yeah. Hit me with music. Brutalize me with music.
i gotta say Thela Hun Ginjeet by Les Claypool because that was the first song I ever heard in relation to roo. I saw it on the 03 (or 02 cant remember) roo dvd and they rock out. New Planet by MMW also reminds me of roo because I saw MMW when they played it last year and it gave me chills.

I'd have to say Outkast's "Prototype". Yes, I do realize that Outkast has never played Roo before (yet), but in 2004 the X-men (Xecutioners, if you prefer) included a live remix during their friday night set. I was REALLY enjoying/experiencing some outstanding Bonnaroo VIBES and it just blew me away. Alot of Roo purists may not think that this counts, but I don't care. It was amazing and i still get goosebumps when I hear the original.
"Sluta Folja Efter" by Dungen. Last year was my first Bonnaroo, and of all the shows I saw, I remember that performance of that song the best. Above everything else. I dunno why, I was just so captivated. So when I listen to "Ta Det Lungt," even though the studio version is much shorter, I instantly think Bonnaroo.
Tennessee Jed, forreal. The Dead acually played it in 03 (great set), and theres truly no place I'd rather be. Also, Primus, To Defy the Laws of Tradition. My buddy gave me a copy of the live set from 04. All I have to do is close my eyes and its like im there again. See you all there again in 07!!!
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**
Even though not from a Roo performance, I can't help but think of Bonnaroo when I hear Chill Out Tent from Boys & Girls in America.
Great call -- brings on the Roo images every time...
there was a stage and a PA up in western massachussetts. the kids came from miles around to get messed up on the music.
she drove down from bowdoin with a carload of girlfriends. to meet some boys and maybe eat some mushrooms.
and they did and she got sick now she's pinned and way too shaky she don't want to tell the doctor everything she' s taken.
the paramedics hovered over like a somber mourning family. they gave her activated charcoal they flooded her with saline.
she got really hot and then she came to in the chillout tent. they gave her oranges and cigarettes.
he was rough around the edges. he'd been to school but never finished. he'd been to jail but never prison.
it was his first day off in forever, man. the festival seemed like a pretty good plan. cruise some chicks and get a suntan.
his friend gave him four but he said only take one. but then he got bored he ended up taking all four. so now my man he ain't that bored anyways. the paramedics found him he was shaking on the side of the stage.
everything was spinning and then he came to in the chillout tent they gave him oranges and cigarettes. she got really hot and then she came to in the chillout tent they gave them oranges and cigarettes.
she looked just like a baby bird all new and wet and trying to light a parliament. he quoted her some poetry. he's tennyson in denim and sheepskin. he looked a lot like izzy stratlin. they started kissing when the nurses took off their IVs. it was kind of of sexy but it was kind of creepy. their mouths were fizzy with the cherry cola. they had the privacy of bedsheets all the other kids were mostly in comas.
he was kind of cute. they kind of kicked it in the chillout tent. she never saw that boy again
she was pretty cool they kind of kicked it in the chillout tent. he never saw that girl again.
