I got to play my banjo on live TV for the news today, been playing drums for 14 years now and the first time I'm playing music on live TV is the banjo. Awesome. Happy Mondays ya'll...hope its a good week!
This makes me happy BTW, is this the "Good/Great Mood" thread? cr**** Part of the lyrics:
It's time to leave this rat race chant down babylon Keep my head straight, keep my family movin' on Find my own pace, create my own space Detach my whole scene from this wicked rat race The two-faced friends, the snakes in the grass Daddy always told me there'd be men like that So watch your own back keep your eye on your stacks Don't ever write a check that that ass can't cash

Wow I haven't heard that in about a decade. Haha made my night.
I know! I've heard stories, horror stories even about that terrible world.
Have you considered graduate school? Perhaps studying abroad for a bit?
Studying abroad would be amazing but I don't know what kind of opportunity I'd have for that now, this being my last semester. But I'm very interested in grad school. Something closer to my home, hopefull DePaul or Columbia in Chicago. I really do want to travel though, I'm mad I never studied abroad.
Big ol yay for Mrs. wannaberoo'ing offering me a ticket to see Clutch in Cinci this weekend. And for LLL making the journey down. I hope I don't break anything or scare anyone too bad.
Yay to getting to hang out with the whore and LLL!
And yay to discovering Lionize today- how have I missed out on this band for so long?
I met the singer from Lionize in '11 when they played. He was hanging out near the entrance to guest camping. He asked me if I had any corn because they wanted to partake before their show.

It's a couple days late, but I found out my older younger sister is pregnant. The circumstances may be a little weird, but I am happy for her because she had wanted another kid for years but couldn't because of some thyroid issues.

Last night I found out I did not get the promotion at work that I really had my heart set on. I got really discouraged because I really deserved the position and have been working my tail off and they gave it to a girl who had recently started.
But then I realized that being the boss of some of the girls that work there would be equivalent to eating dog poo. Also, I would not have the ability to work the artist side as much and would have to focus on the business side.
So, with that- yay. Because there will be something much better come along and I will stay positive! I am talented! I am smart! And it will all pay off!!

It's been 17 days since my last cigarette and I feel great w/o them. If any of you are looking to quit and want to try Chantix, it was a wonder NO NO WORD!!! for me. I can share my experience/answer questions. It boils down to it was WAY too easy and hardly any side effects.
