I started with Welcome Joy when that came out. Still think it's a little better than No Witch, but both are really good. Haven't listened to their first album, so I can't comment on that. I love these guys. Great addition.
They were at NFF last year. While we did not get to see the set, we did get to watch-listen to them laying down some tracks inside the fort and we were glued.
GL - very brief derail - has quacker turned you on to Lowcutconnie on TT? I heard them one day coming home and had Quack check them out... He plays S/S/Shave a lot now. ;D

Back to the Cave Singers.
He hasn't. YET. He better the next time I'm in TT, though.

I'll prompt.. you gotta check them out. At first its.. well a dog tilting his ear going que? what's that? then bam. If i was not tired and indulging in a bevy, I'd start a thread.
Only have their record 'No Witch', but its one of the better records I've heard in the past few years. This act is the only one I'm real excited to see in the latest additions.
While I've only heard No Witch I absolutely love that album. How many other albums do they have?
Anyway, this is one of the bands I am most excited to see!
3, Dan.
No Witch Invitation Songs Welcome Joy
I was unaware that Derek Fudesco and Pete Quirk are in this band. Makes me wanna see them even more. I haven't thought about either of them since 2007.
Friday or Saturday at 2 in a tent? Would be perfect.
wow dude just started listening to them and probably agree with you here. Nice early afternoon chill session, kind of a warm up for the rest of the night.
Definitely agree No Witch is a rock album but I love its variety. You got good folks songs like "Gifts and the Raft" and "Haller Lake". Then you have the psychedelic "Outer Realms" along with rockers like "No Prosecution if We Bail". One of the better albums I've listened to last year. Definitely one of my top acts this year.

oh man! you guys have to check out welcome joy and invitation songs. some of the best folk pop around i've listening to these guys for awhile check out these songs Seeds of the night, Helen, Dancing on our graves, Hen of the woods, Leap and Shrine you wont walk away disappointed.
I was really dissapointed in the artist additions this year, but I'm really glad I discovered The Cave Singers! Definately moving up on my lists of must see acts. I really can't choose which album I like best. Welcome Joy is solid all the way through, No Witch has some of the best songs, and Invitation Songs has my favorite song (Dancing on Our Graves). Hope their setlist mixes it up a bit, cause I'm lovin it all right now

I've had the three CDs since they were added, and I've probably listened to them upwards of 20 times. Can't get enough. I went from not knowing them to having them in my top 10 anticipated acts
