At this time, I can officially confirm that Blink 182 will NOT appear at Bonnaroo 2012, as they have shows scheduled in England for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday!

On a more serious note, that is fantastic news. Blink 182 could be one of the few bands that if booked I would seriously have to reconsider future 'Roos.

Agreed she won't be there, and if she hadn't been a joke prior to her death it may have been too soon. She could sing, but I don't know any die hard fans or anything. Really, who was offended?
And also, I think the point of this thread is bands that have actual concrete evidence that they wont be at roo, not "oh they probably wont be there because it's unlikely because people say so." i.e Daft Punk, Roger Waters/David Gilmore, etc. Yes, it is unlikely that they play, but theres no REAL evidence to suggest that they 100% wont. Yeah? Yeah.

Since I used this thread last year to also post bands that could show up based on tour dates, here's a tidbit i just read:

Just read that Bono said that U2 is going away for a while and taking a long break after that tour that just ended. So I think that means we can count them out.
Hopefully Bassnectar/prettylights/sts9 become yearly traditions... but dont think they will be there. I could go for another helping of ratatat.
I'm good without yearly traditions at Bonnaroo. Part of the fun is finding new stuff or seeing bands you haven't seen before. It'd be harder to do that if X number of slots are taken up by the same bands every year. Just look at how displeased electronic music fans were with the line-up this year.

I'd be very happy if Pretty Lights would be back, but I would love to see some other NEW bands/DJs that never played Roo before. If the festival books like 10-15 bands that played the year before I would be OK with it. More repeats than that, no thanks.

I don't have a problem with some repeats like you said, but it seemed like the original post said that he would like to see those three every year. At least, that's what I got from the post.
