Very happy that a wayne shorter clip was posted...I love jazz influenced drums. They could be the only type of drummers I like.
I saw Blade with Wayne Shorter not too long ago. In a fairly uneven show, he was consistently awesome. One thing that really grabs me about his playing is the way he mixes hair's breadth taps and obliterating power. His touch is just amazing.
Also, isn't this the second Blade brother to play Bonnaroo? If I recall, Brady was the drummer for Dave Matthews & Friends in '04.

Daniel Lanois produced Neil Young's last album Le Noise, which is also a pun on Lanois' name. Young is wrapping up a mostly sold-out tour focusing on that material right before he does the Buffalo Springfield thing.
I saw him with corea, john mclaughlin, christian mcbride, and kenny garrett. one of the greatest concerts I have ever witnessed. blade is UNBELIEVABLE on the kit
as much as some people complain sometimes, I've really come to trust Bonnaroo to come through lineup-wise. Even when I look at some aspects and am disappointed, as I initially was with the adds today, I always find new stuff because I look into who EVERY artist is before I go. And I am immediately sold on the idea of this set.

That's awesome man. I've been reading posts from people who are mad because there are artists on the lineup they've never heard of and i guess they are automatically dissapointed. but thats one awesome thing about bonnaroo is discovering new artists, and doing a little research ahead of time makes it even better so you know which sets you will want to catch.I'll definely remember to make time for this guy.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it

This should be a good little afternoon show. I'm diggin Black Dub, Trixie Whitley is so good. And now for the gratuitous pic, I was soooo lit in this pic:
As the days go on I find myself extremely excited for this set. Whenever Black Dub plays near me its at an overpriced club that wants to charge $45 for a ticket.
