Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Saw them with Bassnectar in the fall and they killed it. Had never heard of them before the show but they definitely made me a fan. Just hope they don't conflict with anyone too big. They wouldn't get a Saturday late night slot, would they? Don't seem big enough for that.
This thread gets my stamp of approval and vigorous endorsement barring something getting in the way I am there with all quickness. Hopefully Thursday night? Belly Dancers can lull my battered psyche to sleep. Would be an awesome warm up to a Shpongle show. Think of the mind melting goodness folks !! Seriously it would make me want to wrestle people in a vat of honey and glowsticks.
1-1-12 Bassnectar NYE SHOW! 1-21-12 G. Love and Special Sauce 3-1-12 Radiohead 3-9-12 Experience Hendrix 5-15-12 Jack White @ The Ryman 6-7-12 Bonnaroo 6-19-12 Roger Waters presents "THE WALL" 7-7-12 Ringo Starr's 72nd Birthday Party Extravaganza at the Ryman
I'm gonna see them this Thursday...but not sure if Zoe's gonna dance for sure, how long they're playing, etc. I'm hopin for the best! EOTO seems to be the headliner and ESKMO is playin too.
I listened to Collide and I thought it was okay. Then one night I listened to it in my car with the bass up and I realized how truly bad ass this album is. Awesome stuff!
@ Ellie, at this show, Beats Antique performed as a three piece act.
Zoe Jakes was PHENOMENAL as belly dancer/percussionist extraordinaire (her stare/eyes/smile is hypnotic). David Satori and Tommy Cappel are a fantastic musical combination, and the three artists combined simply tore the Grog Shop down. The music and their performance were truly flawless. Their style/show is actually hard to put into words. Their music draws from so many different musical influences. The show itself is truly a spectacle to witness. I was hoping to be able to ask one of the three in person if they knew what day/time they are playing Roo, but alas that opportunity did not present itself. Coming from someone who had yet to witness Beats Antique live before tonight, I highly recommend this act to anyone who enjoys and appreciates World/Electronic/Percussion-heavy music. Provided that there are no "must-see" acts for me conflicting with Beats Antique, I will once again be front and center for their show on the farm.
*** On a side note........I was kind of shocked by the response I received from fellow patrons of the show when I mentioned in small talk that I was going to Bonnaroo this June. On more than one occasion I mentioned this and in return I got looks of utter disgrace and disappointment. People at the show almost frowned upon the fact that I was looking forward to Roo. A few I talked to are headed to Wakarusa, a few are headed to All Good, and NOBODY in return stated they were Bonnaroo-bound come June. It is what is it, but I was definitely the "black sheep" in conversation when discussing future musical adventures.....to each their own

I've also noticed there are more and more of those people around every year. As Roo gets more and more popular it becomes cool to hate it. I've found if you talk to those people long enough they usually have never been and they pull out lines like "uhhh Bonnaroo is like so commercial now" or "MTV totally bought that years ago" or "yea right I'm not going to a festival that charges like 5$ for bottled water" It really is a damn shame because they have no idea what they're talking about.
I was talking to this one girl at a bar about Moogfest and mentioned I was going to bonnaroo as well. She gave me this judgemental frown like oh you poor ignorant soul you don't know that festival is soooo custie (even though she'd never been). Then she gave me some bullshit about how the people that run it sold out and how its so poorly run. I responded by saying "well moogfest was put on by AC entertainment, the same people who put on bonnaroo and have exclusive booking rights to the Orange Peel which you spent the past 5 minutes talking up. Clearly you have no clue what the fuck you're talking about" and then walked away.
Haters gonna hate. It's just the kind of backlash you're going to get when you go from a jam centric festival to booking artists like Metallica, Tool, Eminem, etc. Its cool to hate the popular/successful kid.

So it is at "THE OTHER TENT" I try to be in the front row for the show if I can make it. If anyone wants to meet up after the show and rage around Centeroo let figure out to meet up at like a lemonade stand by the stage or something after the show we can go take over the X tent or something maybe even more wicked. I am sur I will have a plan by that point of the evening. Shows willl be over and we can go rage Centeroo and maybe go scout out Camp Inforoo before trying to go get some sleep.

"SM: Do you have any other collaborations lined up or any people you want to work with? TC: We’ve always wanted to make some tracks with Bassnectar and Eskimo."

This is one of the bands I haven't heard before and checked out on Zoltaroo.. Realllllllllly liked their sound. It's really too bad they're playing the same time as Deerhunter or I would be there =\
