I was stoked they were on the line up. Playing Sunday I got a feeling they will conflict with The Head & The Heart ... Which means I'll miss em. Yet again. One day soon though. Before they hit 22 years of age.
Yeah I couldn't believe it when I heard these guys aren't even 21 yet. Dye It Blonde has become one of my favorite albums. The guitar on that CD is pretty simple for the most part, but it's SO AMAZING! Love these guys.

They're SXSW performance sounded pretty weak, but they were fantastic a few weeks back at a small local bar. I guess their sound isn't ready for 2000 people, or however many Stubs can hold. They suffered in the same way when they opened for Florence + The Machine last October. However, I can't wait to see them for the third time at Roo!
I saw Yuck open for The Smith Westerns a few months back in a tiny bar downtown. They were both incredible (and it's cool seeing Yuck get some huge exposure after talking to most of them), but The Smith Westerns stole the show. Huge energy live. I'm interested to see how well it pulls off with a big audience. When I saw them, I was standing on an old amp in the middle of the bar and could see every key the keyboardist was playing.
They sounded much tighter than I was expecting when I saw them and they really rocked the small club scene, but I still have reservations about how they'd do in a festival setting.
