I saw him at the minglewood last year. The first 5 or 6 songs, he played all by himself, and it felt like a religious experience. After like 6 songs though, he brought out some suck ass band to play with him, and it just pissed me off. The concert was worth the price of admission though, just for the songs he played solo.

Just recently got into this guy. A girl put "Boy With a Coin" on a CD she made for me a while back and I fell in LOVE with that song, and its been one of my all-time favorites since, but for whatever reason I never checked out the rest of his stuff. Now that I have, he has become a must-see. The new album is fantastic, such a fresh new sound, reminds me of Sufjan's new album. His acoustic guitar work is great too. Really cant wait for this show

Iron & Wine is pretty great. I laid down and chilled through his last Roo set so this year if there's no conflicts I plan to check him out and actually watch instead of just listen.
I like Creek Drank the Cradle with it's lo-fi sound but the new album has some interesting/great stuff on it. Should be a good show.

I love Sufjan. I heard of iron & Wine and heard many good things and was excited to see him but if he is like Sufjan wow watch out
saw him solo in 09, truly an amazing show. But, I think he's got a band for this tour, so I'll likely be skipping his set if there's someone else I want to tsee
Fell in love with the new album and am excited fer this show! Will probably check it out at the 9:30 Club though in case there is a horrible conflict. Although those don't happen to much fer me on Sunday it seems.
Saw him in Asheville in November at the orange peel I was a little disappointed. Like other posters have said he played solo a few songs then brought out a huge band and then I felt like I was at a New Orleans Jazz festival. It wasnt terrible music but it wasn't anything I just had to go listen to again. I will probably see him again at Roo though.

Can't wait for more Iron&Wine on the farm. That 08 set was fantastic. Sam said something like "last time we played you danced when we played fast and shut the ***** up when we played slow" right before the show started...so true. The other two times I've seen him play outside of roo weren't nearly as fun due to the crowd being lame.
Wow, loved this song on his Around the Well album, but that live version is incredibly awesome. I smell a terrible Sunday conflict involving him, EITS, and The Strokes.
