Who is excited about Beirut? I've been wanting to see Beirut forever! If you haven't listened to them, go download Gulag Orkestar of the Flying Club Cup now! This show will be a celebration. Makes me feel like having some wine and singing along in Europe.

Im super excited about them for me they are the wow band that means wow they got beirut never thought this would be. If eugene hutz of gogol bordello gets to curate a stage i bet you beirut is playing that stage that day.
My favorites are The Flying Club Cup and the Realpeople Holland EP (this is a more upbeat partially electronic kind of sound). I did not expect to see them ... what an awesome surprise!!! The singer Zach Condon just turned 24 on Sunday.. so talented especially for his age! Check out this Takeaway show!
I just noticed that they are playing an hour or so from me and I think I'm going back on my deal to not see any band playing Roo till then.
I've never gotten to see Beirut and it's always been a bucket list for me.
According to your sig looks like you're already seeing Explosions and Iron & Wine? Plus, I'd see Beirut as many times as I could. Plus, I keep forgetting they're on the lineup and this was a nice little reminder.
Yeah. I bought tickets to both EiTS and Iron & Wine before the line up came out. They are here so I don't really count them. I'm not much of a Sam Beam freak ... But my wife is, so therefor I have no choice in the matter. Plus they are in Richmond, so I tend not to count those. Funny rule, I know.
I realized last night that Beirut is during finals. I'm gonna do it though simply because I need to see it in a club. And your so right glennron. I need to see them as much as possible.

Already praying to not have a Strokes/EITS conflict Sunday, throwing Beirut in at the same time would be so much worse. They seem like a really good afternoon show though so maybe it won't happen.

I was hoping they would give The Strokes a LN set to avoid such a catastrophe...

I'm really excited about this show! My girlfriend is originally from New Mexico and introduced me to Beirut a bit over a year ago and I've been trying really hard to catch a show since then with no luck. When I saw this on the lineup I definitely flipped. I really hope there's no conflict with Explosions. That's the worst conflict that the weekend seems to potentially offer by FAR.
Condon recently told HitFix that the as-yet-untitled record is set for release "sometime this summer" and was recorded this past winter in upstate New York. He told HitFix that the new album is "sunny," saying, "I write sad songs when it’s nice outside. I write warm and happy songs when I'm up to my neck in snow for three months."
