They're awesome. I fell in love with their album Fields last year and had to go check them out in DC. José González is amazing by himself, this band is even better.

Woah, did not even notice them and I've looked at the lineup about 7 times already. I'm not too familiar with Junip, but love what I've heard of Jose Gonzalez's stuff. I'll have to give them a solid listen before June.
Still need to pick up the deluxe version Fields. I love José González's music. So sad that things out of my control took me away from his show in 2008! And so sad I was broke and couldn't afford their DC show!
Wow! Thank you for bringing this band to my attention. Big Jose Gonzalez fan, but never heard of Junip. Downloading right now. The bottom of the lineup just got way more exciting for me .
Just picked up and listened to the iTunes "deluxe" version of fields this weekend (which is fields + their 2 EPs)
I really liked it...chill stuff, not technical, love the Moog, and has an almost shamanic/tribal rhythmic intensity to it (every song just flows on through)

Thank you so much Danbird for bringing this to my attention! I've always been a fan of Jose Gonzalez, but didn't know about Junip. I have been listening to Fields to and from work all week, especially the first 5 songs. Can't get enough. Probably the best album I've heard in months. And I'm glad they announced for Sunday, was worried it would be a Thursday night show. I never make it in until after midnight on Thursday
