By October, he was playing solo dates and a few guest spots, including duets with Neko Case on Midnight Rider during Burnett's Speaking Clock Revue, and he's preparing for the Allman Brothers Band's annual March residency at New York's Beacon Theater. He'll play some festivals with his solo band (including Bonnaroo and New Orleans Jazz Fest) this summer and fulfill a few commitments with the Brothers, now in their 42nd year.
You have to have a pretty good .asshat filter to post here in the rush season I apologize on behalf of the decent folks on the board.
If there's a Mule about the farm Gregg will probably throw down with them a bit. I'm really hoping Billy Gibbons is going to be touring with Mule this summer, since he partook in the newest album.

I would think Warren Haynes Band is more likely than Mule, just simply because that has been who Warren Haynes has been playing with the most lately. No real way to know though, just speculating.

No offense to Mule, but I would rather have WHB. It's basically just Warren Haynes + Meters.
Gregg, Floyd Miles, Bruce Katz, Jerry Jemmott, Steve Potts, Jay Collins, and Scott Sharrard is the current make up of the solo band but there are a lot of stand-ins on tour. It's usually billed as "Gregg Allman & Friends" for such purposes.

I worried about the state of Gregg's touring escapades after the whole liver transplant deal back in the summer, I'm glad he's apparently doing well. But really, after damn near 50 years of touring, what can really stop him but death?
On a semi-related note. I'm currently reading Skydog and it's a wonderful read.

I just read that. Such a great book! ;D I learned so much!

Oh really now? Then yes, I would like WHB than Gov't Mule. I've seen the latter about 3-4 times, and I think I've had my fair share.

I asked in the other thread but nobody responded,
I've never listened to any of his solo stuff, and if he's on the lineup I'll definitely have to give it a try, but what portion of his show is AB music and what portion of his show is solo stuff? Is he likes Fogerty who played a large amount of CCR and then some of his own tunes, is it about even, or is it mostly solo material?
