I love the sf record shop idea but while we are waiting to see if anything materializes from that I thought I'd suggest that the clue could be referring to a place you might find an actual amoeba such as in the sea, in a lab, under a microscope, etc.

should be noted he's playing the band rain machine on radio roo right now

maybe it's because I've been jumping around so much between all these clues even I'm not sure what 33 means? I looked at page 33 of clue 2 and there were no posts. I had a response 3:33 in the clue 7 board which was almost immediately before his tweet, but it was response #34 for the thread?

Okay..it appears I had the previous post in that thread as well so this latest tweet is most likely pointing towards clue #7 as monkeyroo has stated above.

As for amoeba clue- this is kinda zen, but- clue will not lead to Berk or SF location either. I guess, though, literally all 3 stock it. 2 minutes ago from web
But what don't they stock!? half a minute ago from web
There's a song called "Amoeba" by The Adolescents that goes:
We are the scientists in the lab Looking through a microscope Those little glass slides they never lie How can this small mind cope?
I've never seen anything like it before This amoeba's got a mind of it's own But don't turn your back you stupid science world This is reaching for the telephone
A one celled creature a one celled thing It hardly knows it's alive You're better off dead if you only knew Your growing life is taking a dive
I've never seen anything like it before This amoeba's got a mind of it's own But don't turn your back you stupid science world This is reaching for the telephone

Eric Reed Boucher (born June 17, 1958), more widely known by the stage name Jello Biafra, is an American musician, spoken word artist and leading figure of the Green Party. Biafra first gained attention as the lead singer and songwriter for San Francisco punk rock band Dead Kennedys. After his time with the band concluded, he took over the influential independent record label Alternative Tentacles, founded in 1979 by him and Dead Kennedys bandmate East Bay Ray. Although now primarily focused on spoken word art, he has continued as a musician in numerous collaborations.
Politically, Jello is a member of the Green Party[1] and actively supports leftist political causes. Biafra ran for the party's Presidential nomination in 2000, finishing second to Ralph Nader.[2] He is a self-identified anarchist[1] who advocates civil disobedience, direct action, culture jamming, and pranksterism in the name of political causes. Biafra is known to use absurdist media tactics in the tradition of the Yippies to highlight issues of civil rights, social justice, economic populism, boosterism, anti-corporatism, peace movements, anti-consumerism, environmentalism, anti-globalization, universal health care, LGBT rights, anti-capitalism, abortion access, feminism, and the separation of church and state.
Some "Biafra" info, thought it might help (if that's where we're being led, who knows)

So I was right in taking Jello to indicate Jello Biafra but my mistake was in looking up him personally as being from Colorado. The important thing is that his band the Dead Kennedys are from San Franciso...so who was at big ears but not at a san fran fest!

lol I was just about to say, I think y'all are getting your clues mixed up here! ;D
Anyway, as far as this one goes...well, I've got no clue, basically. DJ JD says literally all three branches would stock whoever this act is, so in a figurative sense what would Amoeba not stock? What do amoebas not have? Shape?

The only thing I can find they don't stock is music magazines but I think that may be all locations. Not really an artist either

ROLLING STONE is a music magazine (even when they try really hard sometimes not to be)

I'm thinking it's like this - obviously, it's a musician who's music can (literally) be found at any of the Amoeba records locations. However, the name of this musician or group is something that wouldn't be found (specifically) at the L.A. location.
What's something they don't have in L.A.? For some reason I find myself thinking of professional football - they used to have the Rams and the Raiders, now they don't have it at all. A band that shares a name with an NFL team?
he clarified that...

Sorry I think I was wrong with the magazines thing. It was only a couple indie magazines petitioning for them to be carried. My apologies for starting a Rolling Stone frenzy lol

I don't know that you're wrong. If they don't carry magazine at all, yet carry the music of the Rolling Stones, that could absolutely be the answer.
Yeah I am confusing myself. Check this out and tell me what you think.
We the undersigned, the editors of five of the most long-lived and influential underground music magazines in America, wonder why your stores, which are otherwise such cool temples of musical knowledge and commerce, carry no magazines.
find this music at amoeba(sp?) but not the l.a. location
Just a thought here...
