Not weird; sounds like you have a cool mom (if she liked it). My mom would NEVER go with me to see that (but my mom's sense of humor is a bit lacking).

I would put aside some to pay for my kids' college tuitions, I would invest the rest so it would pay out an annuity and I would retire in a couple of years. I would probably drive around the country from music fest to music fest then.

If worldwide counts... Barcelona. in the US... Roanoke, because I live here and it has everything I could ask for and is relatively cheap to live in.
Should I start making phone calls to see if I can borrow somebody's car to drive to Echo?
btw, no my mom isn't cool. In fact, she walked out of 40 Year Old Virgin 30 min into it. I just desparately wanted to see the movie and wanted somebody to go with and all my friends had seen it already.
You should do whatever it takes to go to Echo! (Don't know if it affects how much time you get to spend doing stuff, but as with Roo, they have volunteering opportunities)
well - getting work done depends on how much time you spend here on Inforoo and in general how much time you spend surfing the internet. It also depends on how much other people bug you to: 1. do their work for them; 2. find out when you will be done with their work; 3. Find papers that they should have on their desk in the nice neat folder all labeled just where you put it so that they could find it very easily without having to bug you constantly.
Now - my only real question for the day is: How long is this week gonna last because it feels like it should be Thursday already and it is only Tuesday?
I don't know if he can afford them or not -(knowing nothing of your financial situation) I know that we could not afford them - but I would not go anyway (and I do like Van Halen) because The Police ruined "reunion" tours for me (although I would go to see Rush or Kiss)
Do you think your BF knows how much you want to go see VH?

It's not about me wanting to see them. VH is his alltime favorite band and he has never seen them with Roth. He said he would pay for everything...waiting to hear about ticket prices.
Although I don't want to see DMB (because I already saw them (although it was about 9 years ago), and I'm not a particularly big fan anyway (although I do like their music)), I believe I do know how much you want to see them because it has to be the same as or less than as much as I want to see David Byrne (except he's not actually touring right now, so it seems highly unlikely at this juncture).
Should I go to my high school reunion this weekend (which means I will have to drive 4 hours each way and there are only a few people there that I want to see) or should I stay here so that Jesus won't have to walk to work while I am gone with the car?

No... 4 hours both ways is a long way to drive just to see a few people. It'd probably be better to contact those few people and arrange for a meeting/hang out somewhere in the middle. Plus, making Jesus walk just makes you sound like a big meanie (even though you're not)
I have heard that Kiterunner is a good book. I have not read it yet but did read the other book he wrote - A Thousand Splendid Suns - I really enjoyed that but that may have been because I have lived in the Middle East so I really understood the underlying culture of the book. Anyway - I do want to read Kiterunner now tho.
