They would DEFINITELY agree with the Celine thing here (most of them anyway)... but it's ok, I work on Broadway and there's a lot of Celine, Streisand, American Idol, Top Model going on around here. But this office is also one of most politically incorrect, cursing, sex jokes, semi-cruel (but funny) practical jokes on each other, wear whatever crazy outfit you want etc... places you could ever work, so it's not that bad. I get to play the role of Crazy Rock and Roll Guy here... and I am facinating to most of my co-workers (kind of like a zoo animal??)... and my deadhead manager gets to live vicariously through every crazy/cool rock and roll story I tell her Wish I made more money though
I sued to be in an office, shared with another girl who was cool, but felt closing the door was "rude," and even put in some chairs for people to socialize. When my job changed to where I had to write and edit all day, I asked to be moved.
I got a cube on the corner right near the kitchen, the board room, the visitor's office, the office of a dude who uses speakerphone all day, and en route to the VPs office so bigwigs looove to hang outside my cube and talk about the recent golf game.
Glad I got that privacy and quiet to write
This is why I have such a deep intimate love affair with my iPod

Haha, that sounds like my office. I am kind of like a zoo animal too because I'm that "hopeless liberal girl". I'm glad I've got someone else who agrees with my politics here at least.
Also, Once In A Lifetime an annoying song? Sacrelige! I love me some Talking Heads!
So anyway, on to my (great, amazing, fun) weekend:
-Went out Friday to a fraternity party, wound up staying up late and having adventures at Waffle House until 3:30 AM ;D -Saturday worked at the softball park (scorekeeping) and made $140 -Saturday night my boy came and saw me because we were there late and he even brought me my favorite soda and carried my stuff when I was done -Sunday raised hell at my condo pool with about 15 other people, had a blast, and had some better living through chemicals ;D (SWIMMING is amazing. You should try it), got told I was beautiful by my boy and things are going swimmingly with him -Went into work Monday, turned in my notice, and am now slacking happily knowing I only have a week left
ummm -cleaned the house, did laundry, went to evil Wally World, cooked dinner, watched part of Devil Wears Prada, part of Dumas, part of Fantastic Four

We shot a wedding this weekend. Well my hubby and his dad did and I ran around as drill-sargent getting people in place. Then the reception hit, I was off duty as they got candids and bonded with the bartender who put vodka tonics in ice water glasses so I could have fun.
Dude, it was a Filipino wedding and the DJ was a relative. He didn't just play Celine, they played Celine covers by Filipino artists. And Elton and Elvis and Shania... the best was when The Electric Slide came on and some guy with an accent instead sang "it's Electric!" and changed the lyrics to "Electric Ride." I had to leave and spit/giggle in the parking lot to that one.

I'm really bothered by one of these ads - it's an ad for those guitar string bracelets...except it's for Bela Fleck. Bela Fleck plays banjo, not guitar. Boo.

Bela's is a banjo string, Mike Gordon's is a bass string, etc, etc
