I'm so hungry. I was promised a free lunch today, so I didn't make a sandwhich at home and bring it to work. Now, I don't get that free lunch and I don't have the money to go out and buy a lunch. I was really planning on getting paid tomorrow, and this free lunch thing would have been perfect. I think I'll go interrupt the meeting that I apparently am not allowed to attend and when people turn around I'll just say "Oh, don't mind me. I'm just eating a sandwhich"

Yeah, I'm pretty pissed. It's a company wide meeting. I'm an intern for the company. Therefore, I should be at an all company meeting. They do pay me money, so why the hell can't I attend an all company meeting? Eff this job...
By the way, the only reason I really wanted to attend this meeting was the free lunch.

They are in there until 2. I'm seriously about to just go find the sandwhiches they are giving out and I really could care less what they think... Even in the incredibly unlikely event that they say "you're fired for eating our sandwhiches" I think I would just say "whatever... it's not like I was welcome in a company-wide meeting anyways"
then I would proceed to grab as many sandwhiches as I could manage and jump in my getaway car and drive down the road eating all their food.
Come to think of it, that would actually be a lot of fun ;D

When my mother passed away suddenly 14 years ago, my wife (girlfriend at the time) had several very vivid dreams of her in the weeks that followed. The dreams typically involved the two of them having detailed conversations about me, which my wife/gf would then relate back to me in the morning. In one dream, my mother was sitting at the end of our bed flipping through a photo album (my mother was an avid amateur photographer), pausing here and there to place her hand on various photos before moving on. My wife/gf asked her what she was doing, to which my mother smiled and replied that she was collecting memories to take with her on a long trip. She then just faded away. She never had another one of those dreams again.

After my dad died (12 years ago), I had a very vivid dream of him in which we spent a day at an amusement park. I remember riding the teacups with him. At the end of the dream, I remembered that he had died, and asked him how he was there, and he told me he just really wanted to see me again.

I just interupted meeting to get food and my boss turned around and asked me what I was doing and I said "eating your food" and walked out. It wasn't nearly as eventful or as exciting as I had hoped... But alas, I have 3 phenomenal sandwhich infront of me now waiting to be devoured

When I was very young, I lived next to an older couple. There was a vacant lot between my house and theirs, and the older man would mow a path through the tall grass so I could visit him. I'd see his garden and eat his peanuts that were for the squirrels, and he would mark my height on his garage cabinet. He was just a sweet older man. I'd sit on their porch and talk. His wife was not as friendly with me, but I would visit anyways. He died somewhat suddenly, and while I don't remember being extremely sad (I had to be 7 or 8, I don't think I really understood). I had a dream. It was infiltrated with carebears and the like, but in the middle of it, I'm sitting in their front porch, and the old man is telling me that he is okay. I know I asked some random questions, but to this day I think it was one of those dreams. It was very vivid, and have remembered it since I was a child. I wish I could remember the man's name.
We treat mishaps like sinking ships and I know that I don't want to be out to drift Well I can see it in your eyes like I taste your lips and They both tell me that we're better than this
First I have to say - just shoot me - this day has gone to hell right from the start - and all because of the fect that this is the first chance I have had to get on Inforoo today

Some people show up for meetings to learn about fiscal growth or how to 'think outside the box', but not you... you're there for the cold cuts!
(CAN YOU PASS ME THE POTAAAAATO SAAAAALAAD!)
Is that a revenue growth chart, or the statistical analysis of widget production costs? You don't care, as long as it can keep the oil and vinegar dressing from dripping on your tie!
Spooky - I just spit my drink all over because of you - and what is bad is in my mind I was singing the damn commercial and could hear the guys voice narrating it also

I think my coworkers are trying to blow up this place...
Where I work, to clean most glassware and stuff we use Acetone (main component in fingernail polish, for all the non-chemistry inclined). We carry Acetone in huge 5 gallon drums that we empty into small 1/2 liter squirt bottles to use for cleaning. We also have chemical waste drums, that at first glance look the same as these Acetone containers, but once you open your eyes you can (or should, atleast) see that these waste containers are covered in big red warning labels with big bold letters that say "WARNING: WASTE CONTAINER!!" You would think that someone would know that when they have waste, they pour it into these containers. For whatever reason, however, we found out yesterday that someone had actually been pouring the waste into the Acetone containers. So when I'm in the lab trying to clean shit yesterday instead of squirting both the glass and my hands (which luckily were covered with gloves) with what I think is harmless Acetone it's actually some wonderful chemical waste. Chemical waste, needless to say, doesn't clean other chemicals off very well. In fact, it reacts with them. To simplify things, it goes BOOM. So yesterday I am cleaning some stuff off and I squirt some "acetone" on a glass container covered in chemicals, I notice things start to fizz and release a bit of a gas. I put down the stuff and hurried out of the lab just in time for the glass jar to explode from the chemical reaction with the waste.
This is the second time I've almost been front row for an explosion at work... I'm really starting to doubt my safety here.
