I haven't heard too much talk about The Drive by Truckers around here, but I totally recommend them. I don't think any conflicts will stop me from seeing these guys in the south.
If I can recommend any albums I'll throw out The Dirth South and Decoration Day. Their new album is pretty good too. I love it, but might be a little too slow for some.
Now you just told me that friendship is all I'm forced to repair the breech in my wall Illusions and dreams, as usual, it seems Sabra girl, they've been my downfall
Shonna has a beautiful voice. I'm stoked to be seeing them twice at the end of this month in Colorado! Definitely check them out if you're not familiar....though I'll caution they are infinitely better live than recorded.
I saw them co-headline with Black Crowes, and RRFB. They were pretty good.
Saw the same tour. What a lineup. The crowd was not really into the DBT or RRFB, they were obviously there for the Crowes but I thought it rocked. I can not wait to see the Truckers with a crowd that is into them.

ive been a DBT fan forever, but really thought Isbell was the main talent.... i mean dont get me wrong- cooley and patterson are amazing songwriters-- by where DBT finds power in its ballads and the most talented of the bunch is Isbell. check out his new album 'sirens of the ditch' its effin amazing!!! ive seen him solo 3x now since the split.... so im interested to see DBT without him :/ -L

I wish they would play southern rock opera the whole way though. That won't happen without Isbell, he was good. I think ill trade him for all the Cooley songs on the new cd though.
Decoration Day is probably the most perfect song ever written. Shame Jason won't be there, but they will kick ass anyway. They are my #1 don't miss band of the weekend.
