Ive posted this before, but for people who just know Pearl Jam from the first few albums you should check out "Live at the Gorge" its a 7 disc set and they play most all their songs.
I also want to know what is a good Umphrey's Cd to start with??

I am recently getting into Umphreys. I would check out Live at the Murat. It is really good.......I wouldn't waste any time with Studio albums, their live shows are where it's at.

I saw umphrey's in 06.. the best show of the weekend for me besides radiohead.. you won't regret seeing this set.. they ended it with a GREAT cover of pink floyd's "eclipse".

I agree that their live stuff is superior in a lot of cases but the studio album "anchor drops" is absurdly good. There is a shit load of live umphreys shows out there but on this album you really get a feel for each of the songs but it is not weak on the improvising/shredding!
