I'm on the fence at this point. I think a solid addition of electronica and jam would push me over...im done caring about LZ at this point, its just too much of a mind fcuk.
Sasha & Digweed/Paul Van Dyk/Armin Van Buuren Daft Punk Justice
If I'm gonna go, we're gonna need some of these guys:
Neil Young Tom Waits Trey Anastasio Black Crowes with or without Jimmy Page Ben Harper Coldplay Oasis Daft Punk Muse Beastie Boys Chemical Brothers Arcade Fire Cake The Verve Bright Eyes Counting Crows Mars Volta Les Claypool in any form David Gray Polyphonic Spree LCD Soundsystem Justice Page McConnell Band of Horses Animal Collective Panda Bear Ray Lamontagne Hot Hot Heat Leftover Salmon EOTO Panjea Martin Sexton Josh Ritter David Ford Amos Lee Will Hoge
add any 10-15 of these, I'm in...
Natedogg - You should organize this. Call it Puppylove or some such...I like that lineup.
Has anyone tried calling or e-mailed someone at/closely related to Superfly, asking if they are planning on having more electronic artists (and gotten a response either way)?
I saw MIA live and I would see her again in a heartbeat. I hope she's latenight cause she's fuckin WILD, and better live than recorded (if you can even imagine that cause the album is soooo good).
And does anyone have the initial list from last year that they put up, not the finished one, to get a sense of what could feasably be added to the lineup?
I want my dancing shoes on. Last year having STS9, String Cheese, Sasha and Digweed, DJ Shadow, Galactic, etcetc was fantastic...
Hoping (praying, begging) for:
Infected Mushroom***** STS9 DJ Shadow Balkan Beat Box Hot Chip Many many others of electronic bass beat thumping your heart persuasion...
I rocked so hard at Sasha and Digweed, that I would be completely happy if the only one added was I'M THE SUPERVISOR, CAN I GET A TAXI NUMBA????
for real wtf? I seriously thought that they would have been a near lock. What the hell? There is such an outcry from people on here to see them at the farm, and I know there is at least one person from Superfly on here. You'd think they would take some pointers. Hell we have a 32 page thread about how much we want them there, more than any other band on here. Wow. I'm upset.
I wonder if maybe they don't want to do Roo again...to me that seems like the only plausible reason for them to not have been back since '05.
Hey, Jude, don't be afraid. You were made to go out and get her. The minute you let her under your skin, Then you begin to make it better.
And any time you feel the pain, Hey Jude, refrain. Don't carry the world upon your shoulders. Well don't you know that it's a fool who plays it cool By making his world a little colder.
STS9 Disco Biscuits U-Melt Buckethead Claypool (/w buckethead) Gnarls Barkley The Roots Jurrasic 5 De La Soul Chuck Brown (woooo the godfather of go-go) Zeppelin Black Crowes (w/ Page) Santana Gilmour and/or Waters Keller Williams Dave Chappele Dane Cook 1200 MICROGRAMS and for gods sake, superfly or one of you other festivals, look into 1200 MICROGRAMS, b/c they would be a insane late night set...(bass bass bass bass " COME ON NOW, LETS ALL TAKE SOME MESCALINE" bass bass bass)
Ry Cooder Chris Smither John Prine The Features Carbon/Silicon Late Nite Electronica something (orbital, daft punk) Susumu Hirasawa John Fogerty Southern Culture on the Skids some form of Claypool some form of Anastasio

We definitely need dance. Everyone can agree on LCD Soundsystem and Justice. STS9 is a standard that is missing, as well.
For you Zepheads, I'm pretty confident at least Page and Plant will do a Zeppelin set at the Superjam. That would be a good solution to keeping tickets from selling out and pleasing the fans.
Ani Difranco - I thought she would be in for sure The Mars Volta – obviously that’s a no brainer Cat Power – the new album is great Primus – come on, one more time Silversun Pickups Ray Lamontagne Amos Lee John Butler Trio Blind Melon Interpol – only in my dreams Justice Jeff Buckley – reincarnated Sia Serj Tankian Palolo Nutini Ryan Adams Matisyahu Mogwai Thom Yorke – that’s not going to happen Yeah Yeah Yeahs Van Morrison Sonic Youth Sparta Mos Def Portishead – not happen
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!
Band of Horses Arcade Fire Yeah Yeah Yeahs Massive Attack Mars Volta Sonic Youth The Breeders Muse Louis XIV The Annuals The Cure
...there's a few more, but im too tired to write. btw - I saw Hot Hot Heat with Louis XIV and Editors.... they're really really awful live. fun to listen to, but mostly just embarassing to watch. that lead singer really effs it up for the other dudes. IMO.

The Black Crowes and Thievery Corp are the two additions that I'd really like to see. Hell, if TBC shows at this years 'Roo I don't see how it could get any better. Unless of course Metallica cancels.

What about Islands? And everyone who says Of Montreal should be there is right. They're lyrically amazing not to mention they've got a sound like no other. Can you imagine that many people dancing to "Fun Loving Nun"? It sounds like a good time to me Cat Power would be nice. Kimya Dawson in some form would be appreciated. Sonic Youth, enough said. Daniel Johnston would be pleasant as well. All of these artists seem to be small enough to be additional adds, i hope.
I am happy that Iron and Wine, Rilo Kiley, Sigur Ros, The Raconteurs, Death Cab, and Against Me! are going to be there.

It would be hard if not impossible to beat this lineup addition from 2003.
Neil Young & Crazy Horse Alison Krauss & Union Station featuring Jerry Douglas The Flaming Lips Emmylou Harris funky Meters Leo Kottke & Mike Gordon Ben Kweller Robinella & the CC String Band Cyro Baptista & Beat the Donkey Spearhead The Slip Jon Cleary & the Absolute Monster Gentlemen Vusi Mahlasela of Amandla! My Morning Jacket DJ Spooky Jason Mraz Polyphonic Spree Topaz Drive-By Truckers Kaki King RAQ
I'm really surprised that The Mars Volta, Band of Horses, and Black Mountain weren't included on this thing, so I hope they're added. Also, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Breeders, Silversun Pickups, Queens of the Stone Age, and Sonic Youth playing Daydream Nation.
KINGS OF LEON I know we have southern rock in almond and drive by, but Kings put on a great show.
STS9 Or DJs we need more dance party music.
Dave & Tim I love Dave Matthews, and Tim is going to play Kokua Festival with him. Dave has not been to Bonnaroo in too long. He always puts on a great show. Dave also is willing to play with DMB, Friends, or Tim… Should be easy to find a place for him in this line up.
"Pearl Jam, Metallica, Kanye West, B. B. King, Jack Johnson and Alison Krauss and Robert Plant (both below) will be among the more than 100 acts at the seventh annual Bonnaroo Music and Arts festival this year, the organizers announced. Taking place from June 12 to 15 at its regular spot, a 700-acre farm in Manchester, Tenn., south of Nashville, the festival will also include Willie Nelson, Phil Lesh, the Mars Volta, Sigur Ros, Jack White’s Raconteurs, My Morning Jacket, Death Cab for Cutie, Levon Helm and the list goes on. Bonnaroo was one of the first rock festivals to specialize in broad, eclectic programming, but along with Coachella in California, it has faced stiffer competition as similar events have sprung up around the country."
