At Wanee Fest 2007 Derek Trucks jammed with Robert Randolph on the second day of the festival, so I assume Derek might be a part of this.
RRFB and The Drive-By Truckers went on tour with Counting Crows, so I would highly suspect some Drive-By truckers, and maybe a late announcement of Counting Crows??
I thought about this, but I caught two of the stops on that tour, and during no time did DBT have out Randolph, nor did Randolph have out the anyone from DBT.

It will probably be like what Mule did last year or it will be like the ACL show where he had his mentors and friends play with him.
I'm thinking the former, which makes me very excited.
Robert and the family band were at Mountain Jam last year. Warren preformed with them I am fairly certain even though I didn't catch the whole set as it started to pour and I went to the lodge cause it was really cold but I know that he preformed at least a few songs with everyone else that I watched on the main stage that weekend at the end of everyones set.
I'm also pretty curious to see who comes out and plays with Mr. Randolph for this set but if they play 'Homecoming' off Colorblind expect they place to go absolutely bonkers when he mentions Bonnaroo.

This man came up to me just the other day, asked me I'd been born again. I told him, "I didn't think I had." That I had been rejected. But I think, Hell's got all the good bands anyway. And Bonnaroo.
from his myspace: We are pleased to announce Robert Randolph’s Revival at the 2008 Bonnaroo Festival. This project will include the Family Band and a host of special guests and collaborators. Look forward to hearing new material as well as interpretations of classic gospel standards woven around the signature sound of the sacred steel.

this should be one hell of a show. Robert Randolph is definitely one of my priorities to see. I need to see that show from start to finish, no matter who else is playing elsewhere.

I'm really happy the family band will be there, I love Danyel Morgan. Sounds likes its gonna be similar to last years Mule show, which means a must see.

Man, I'm stoked to hear he's got some new material. He started playing the "Colorblind" songs so, so long ago, I can't wait to hear some new stuff.
Hey, Jude, don't be afraid. You were made to go out and get her. The minute you let her under your skin, Then you begin to make it better.
And any time you feel the pain, Hey Jude, refrain. Don't carry the world upon your shoulders. Well don't you know that it's a fool who plays it cool By making his world a little colder.

Honestly, Robert Randolph cannot be talked about enough. If you miss this show, you are a sucker. His studio stuff is pretty good, but its the live show that takes him to a whole different level. Bring your dancing shoes and a change of underwear to this set.
If you ask me, there are three crowned Princes of Bonnaroo: Warren Haynes, Les Claypool, and Robert Randolph.
I saw RR in Philadelphia. His shows are amazing. His playing style is wicked and he gets the audience in on it too. He brought people up to play solos on his guitar while everyone else danced on stage. Pure awesomeness. I cannot wait.
