John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
The last couple years there has been about 15 or so artist that crossover from Coachella and Bonnaroo. Here is my prediction:
Jack Johnson MMJ M.I.A. Tegan and Sara Animal Colective Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings Vampire Weekend Cafe Tacuba Rilo Kiley VHS or Beta DeVotchka Brett Dennen Shout Out Louds Black Kids Spank Rock Justice Flogging Molly
Jack Johnson Stephen Malkmus Cold War Kids MMJ The Raconteurs animal collective the verve sharon jones and the dap kings devotchka minues the bear gogol bordello
anybody who leaves out Fatboy Slim is a numbskull! :-)
The Verve- with a special Ben Harper appearance for "The Drugs Don't Work" Raconteurs- like Jack White, not particularly amped about this band Fatboy Slim- gotta have em late night Battles- heard great things Death Cab for Cutie- would love the chance to see them again Sasha & Digweed - another late night dancefest Roger Waters (performing Dark Side of the Moon)- DUH! Gogol Bordello- had a blast last year
Autolux- underrated band, great sound... check them out! Turnstile Blues... Minus the Bear - AMAZING!

Only bands from that lineup I would even want to see are:
My Morning Jacket The Swell Season Jack Johnson
Personally I think the Coachella lineup is horrible. I must not be the only one either... go check out their Myspace page. There are tons of veteran fans that are really pissed off with the lineup.
Animal Collective Jack Johnson Mum Minus the Bear Portishead VHS or Beta Raconteurs My Morning Jacket Aesop Rock John Butler Trio Junkie XL Spiritualized

I dont think they are a headline. but as someone stated above, they havent played together at a concert in like a decade? beats me. but if they are on the roo' lineup i wouldnt be UPSET one bit

Jack Johnson headlining Coachella???? never though i'd see the day!!! Very weird for coachella traditionally...but then again who has traditions/values anymore when there is big corporate money involved? cliche I know but does anyone else miss the days when bonnaroo and coachella were two totally different festivals?

and I'm not insulting roo because I think the variety there is good...more on the coachella copy cat throw some jambands in there to seem more roo-ish end...weak

Portishead is probably the second most prominent trip-hop group after Massive Attack. In Britain, their debut album, Dummy, is widely considered one of the greatest of all time. They haven't toured stateside in almost a decade.
As a side note, at the top of each festival's bill, there are usually only a couple acts that the festivals share. My guess is this year it will be Raconteurs and MMJ. I don't see anyone else at the top of that bill playing Bonnaroo...
