This is great news. I had a feeling Willie was gonna make an appearance this year! I think everyones glad to get a good rumor that can be backed up and accepted at absolutly truth! I have a feeling the floodgates are gonna open up here in 1-2 weeks with real rumors, this is great let the fun begin.
Maybe we can get a little Willie/BB jam....they're friends and have recorded a song or two together over the years....I've seen em both numerous times separate...together would blow my mind!
Willie and BB at the same fucking festival. This shit is nuts.
I was starting to lean towards doing Sasquatch instead of Bonnaroo this summer, but good Lord, the leaks, albeit minute compared to past years have been so quality (outside of Pat Green). King, Nelson, Plant, Krauss...legends galore.

Great news. almost makes me wish I didn't just shell out $40 a pop for tickets to see him next month. Oh well, there's worse things than getting to see Willie twice in one year.

i'm okay with willie nelson, he is a legend of real country music, however, he can keep his fake country buddies away from bonnaroo like kid rock, toby keith, kenny chesney, keith urban...you think bands, sorry - i meant to say entertainers - you think entertainers can't ruin bonnaroo?...there's a list of 4 that would...

I don't think Willie Nelson playing Bonnaroo means they're going to book Kid Rock, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban and the lot. Pat Green or Dierks Bentley is the closest you're going to get to that crowd at Bonnaroo, and that's still a world away.
Personally, I'd love to see Emmylou Harris, Robert Earl Keen, The Flatlanders or Steve Earle play Bonnaroo next year. The more real country music at Roo, the better.

Bawitdaba! I totally dug Kid Rock's Devil Without A Cause when it came out! I shit you not. I still listen to it every now and again and laugh at how goofy that shit is. But I still like it.

i was kind of kidding about the kid rock, toby keith.........i know the people that book the bands for bonnaroo aren't that stupid....i know they'll never play bonnaroo..
There seems to be a country/Bluegrass theme going on with some of the artist that are rumored to play (Willie,Krauss and Plant, Avett Bros, MMJ)
Ah, kinda, but I hope some more traditional bluegrass acts get added as well (Ricky Skaggs, Doyle Lawson, etc.) Also, I really hope Gillian Welch is back as well, she is wonderful.
I saw Willie with Merle and Ray Price this year and he was pretty good. He can definitely still go the distance, he took up all of his 2 hours.
Willie singing 'A Peaceful Solution' (a cappella perhaps?) could be an awesome moment at Roo. If you havnt heard him do that song, check it out.
the last time i saw willi was on the baseball stadium tour he did with dylan a few years ago. great preformance. im excited that hes gonna be there this year. awesome. as for what should have been an '05 apperance... i thought he was a headliner and they wasked widespread to play two nights instead of one. thanks for setting me straight.

i saw that same concert in boston - it was about the strangest crowd ive ever seen. everyone sat the entire show. when i stood up when willie got on stage, people behind me *shouted* at me to sit back down. wtf!@
i saw willie with john fogerty a few years ago and it was a completely different vibe. i guess i had never been to a real old-time country show before?
Maybe there's an another universe, a parallel existence, so to speak, where Willie Nelson just sits back and reflects on his glorious career. But in our world it's work, work, work for the red headed stranger. Willie's new dates include shows in Paris and London across the pond and St. Louis, Green Bay and Milwaukee plus an appearance at this year's Bonnaroo.

Not to burst anyone's bubble but Pollstar has has A LOT of wrong bonnaroo line up information over the years....I know everyone's hungry for some artist announcements (as am I) but I would take Pollstar with a grain of salt....not to say that willie wouldn't be cool.
They are really keeping a tight lid on the leaks this year!
Also I can't really see Pat Green (never even heard of him...but from his website he looks pretty mainstream country...opened for Kenny Chesney) playing at roo and Pollstar has him listed too...
