theres been a lot of hype about Led Zeppelin and the possibility of them headlining bonnaroo. but if there really not...like superfly says...who else could they get to headline that would create enough buzz for the lineup not to be considered a dissapointment? even if superfly never planned to book Zep, all this speculation has put a lot of pressure on them to come up with an amazing lineup? ive thought about it and Radiohead or the Talking Heads are the only 2 that come to mind. any others?

honestly if i was stuck on an island and given a choice between a talking heads record or a led zeppelin record i would more than likely go with the talking heads, and the same goes here. david byrne is just too "far out" of an artist to pass up seeing him perform.
mulcherry what is that cd called thats is in the first row 2nd one from the left.. i keep seeing the album art and have no idea where its from.. thanks
if you can get a hold of a copy of the talking heads dvd "stop making sense" its a damn good example of how good of a show they can put on live
That DVD is my religion. "Stop Making Sense" looks like one of the most fun concerts ever put on. If only I could have been alive at that point!
Anyway, I've said it before but a Talking Heads reunion at Bonnaroo would be the greatest thing ever. EVER. For me anyway. But I'll take David Byrne solo too!

i think if they have a sick sick line up, it will make up for not having THE headliner. Kinda like in 06' when they just had radiohead and tom petty. Then they had elvis costello, phil lesh, oysterhead, and beck. Two majors and three or four other GREAT bands.
soo im gonna throw this out in the open how about smashing pumpkins.. im all up in the old sp stuff like set your ray on jerry and i think that be a great setlist for a healinder for bonnaroo..

I don't know. Last year was a lot easier to figure out. It was pretty obvious The Police would show. We'll just have to keep on searching for information. More facts will arise in the weeks to come. I suspect a lot of bands will start announcing dates in the next month or so.

^I don't think anyone has to worry about a Talking Heads reunion at Roo. Byrne has repeatedly said that he has no interest in ever reuniting.
Oh, I didn't say it would happen just saying they'd be a perfect fit. They did reunite by the way sadly it was only for 2 or 3 songs. I was just shocked people wouldn't be interested in it.
I think Paul Simon needs to get down on the farm (solo, sorry Art) his solo work would fit right in at roo.
id love to see a more traditional bonnaroo this year.
and it still amazes me people keep bringing up radiohead, they just played 2 years ago, if they make a return to bonnaroo, its gunna be a few more years.

attornaroo: I could definitely deal with that.
IMHO, No Trey (sorry kids, I don't like Phish...and isnt he in rehab or something?!!
booooo, yeah trey is in rehab, but hes due to make a return. and if he did, i seriously doubt he'd headline, more likley to a late night of some kind.
