Excuse me since I havent looked at every post to see peoples ideas but it seems every year the lineup has bands from out in leftfield that arent discussed ever (Elvis Costello, Franz Ferdinand, Ornette Coleman, etc). So tell me if some of these acts do you think work for all the different genres since some of these might have a shot of showing up if you think about it:
Jeff Beck ZZ Top Spin Doctors Badly Drawn Boy Lemon Jelly Jonny Lang/Keb Mo Pet Shop Boys Al Green Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band Robert Cray Band Corrine Bailey Rae Guru (Hip-Hop with Jazz artists if you dont know. His Jazzmatazz albums are fantastic) Jamie Cullum Mando Diao Moses Guest Red House Painters The Soundtrack of Our Lives

I think a lot of those could work. The only one I have seen live though is Jeff Beck and it was INCREDIBLE, oh and Robert Cray who was awesome in his own right.

From what little I know of Badly Drawn Boy, he seems like a perfect Roo fit. And I saw the Robert Cray band live. While good, if Superfly was only getting one blues artist, they could do better.
Jeff Beck- I could see him appearing in more of a guest spot capacity.
ZZ Top- Whenever someone brings up Rush or Yes, I say the same thing: 'They're too big not to headline, but not big enough to headline Bonnaroo.' You would have a hard time selling tickets with ZZ Top at the top of the bill.
Spin Doctors- Too niche.
Badly Drawn Boy- Could happen, but not likely. His popularity in America has dropped significantly since About a Boy.
Lemon Jelly- Would love to see this happen, BUT I'm not even aware if they play stateside at all, and they're not very big over here.
Jonny Lang/Keb Mo- Depends on how far they take the blues theme. I'd say unlikely though.
Pet Shop Boys- Unequivocally no.
Al Green- I have no idea why this hasn't happened yet. Perhaps Green doesn't want to associate himself with the Bonnaroo vibe. I don't know. It makes sense and fits perfectly and has been a wish of mine for a couple years.
Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band- Like ZZ Top, too big but not big enough.
Robert Cray Band- See Jonny Lang/Keb Mo.
Corrine Bailey Rae- More ACL than Bonnaroo, but definitely possible.
Guru- Would love for this to happen, but I don't see it happening. Hip/hop is a backburner genre for Bonnaroo.
Jamie Cullum- It's possible, but hard to see happening as long as Ben Folds is a festival favorite.
Mando Diao- Probably too obscure, but could fit on as a Thursday night band. They'd probably have to have a big of an indie hit to make it happen though.
Moses Guest- Too obscure.
Red House Painters- Was not aware they were still active...that is to say, I think they've gone the way of Uncle Tupelo.
The Soundtrack of Our Lives- Don't see it happening unless they get a bigger cult following.
