I know there's already been alot of chatter through the forum about this guy. I started saying It Sunday night on the ride home when my buddy popped in Musicology. I think Prince is both tailor made for the Roo stage and long overdue to appear. In my mind, Prince in 08 is an inevitability. Now the only question is; Friday or Saturday?

I saw Prince live back when i was in high school and it is still to date the best show i've ever been too....I'm kinda hoping for the red hot chili peppers myself...
I think prince would be an amazing act, but maybe too amazing for Bonnaroo, it depends if he's willing to step down to a festival level and i'm sure he'd command a high price to play.
I would like to see them stick to the variety formula used this year. something new (or progressive), something old, something tried-and-true. It made for a really great weekend.
I'm all for prince on a saturday night. followed by flips. talk about face melting.
We treat mishaps like sinking ships and I know that I don't want to be out to drift Well I can see it in your eyes like I taste your lips and They both tell me that we're better than this

It needs to happen. The formula is Progressive, Classic Rock, Jam. Wouldn't mind seeing a Strokes, Prince, Phish Reunion. Only problem is how fast it would sell out.
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**

Prince at roo would be awesome. If that were to happen, I would have to purify myself in the waters of Lake Minnetonka. The only way t make it better would to have Ween guest with him.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it

i would pay any amount of money to see prince play a 2-hour set at bonnaroo. none of this hits only bullshit. he'd have to realllly jam out on stuff like DMSR, etc.

yea, seriously... while I wouldn't really want the Chilli Peppers at Roo... the Strokes simply couldn't headline something that big.

Prince at Roo!??!!! of course it would be awesome. now to the question of friday or saturday? the answer is BOTH. Prince is notorious for having all nite jams. two nights would be perfect for him.
I saw Prince a few years ago. I had low expectations for the show, but I was completely blown away. It was one of the best shows I have ever seen.
I'm not sure if he could headline Bonnaroo, because he is probably outside of most roo'ers area of interest. If he ever did, he would earn himself a whole lot of new fans.
I love Prince. I have since Purple Rain. I had let him slide out of my radar for years until my brother left a show in my car from 2002. Holy Shit!!! He's not the Rasberry Beret Prince anymore. That little man can JAM!!!
So its Pearl Jam, Friday Prince, Saturday Neil Young Sunday
I can live with that! haha
this sounds like a lineup I would die to go and see.
but to agree with most of the people, Prince would be an awsome act at Roo. For a while i just never got prince but I step back and actually listened for a while and think he can really tear up a stage.

What Prince could bring that would be of most value at Roo is his ability to collaborate with any other musician that is there. So here is my dream Superjam. Neil Young is there with Crazy Horse. Cream is there. Prince is there. H'mmm just think of the combinations of guitars, basses, and drums with that squad around!
