my mind is still blown by the superjam. john paul jones! cheese is gonna be epic though, i hope i can peel myself away for a little to check out the superjam.
i'll start out with SCI then make my way to superjam. if superjam is as good as it has potential to be, i'll stay at superjam. if not, then i'll head back for some cheese
Since this is my first Roo ... I'm gonna have to stick to what my verternroofriends want to do. I have never seen STS9 so I want to check out some of there show.

I would really like to see a bit of Aesop (I am actually banking on him showing up also at the Galactic hip hop extravaganza, he has a lot of ties to the guests there), go to Superjam for most of the time (that would be crazy to see a possibility of Maynard coming out to sing no quarter with JPJ, Ben Harper, and Questlove but I think this will happen during the Tool set itself), and hopefully STS9 is still kicking it after this.
"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."

i think maynard signing zeppelin is more likely to happen in the superjam than in the tool set.

^^^I'll also add that, as cool as it would be to see Aesop pop up at Galactic, they seem to be much more in bed with Quannum than Def Jux, so I'm taking that as a cue as to who will show up... Shadow? A couple DJs would sure be nice fodder for them.

As truly mind-blowing as the SuperJam is, I think I gotta stick with the hip-hop trifecta. Really, the fact that it's getting so little attention next to the other jam acts is part of what interests me-- it'll be so roomy in there! But I'll definitely be stealing away to catch some of SCI and the John-Paul-Jones-You're-A-God-And-I-Would-Like-To-Get-A-Uterus-Implanted-In-My-Body-So-I-Can-Have-Your-Baby Musical Revue.
What's so great about your choice is you'll have time in between sets to catch other acts without missing your hip-hop. Friday will work out well for you if that's your number 1 choice
Why thank you, I sure hope it works out that way. It's not that likely that these guys will stick to their pithy 45 minute set times, and it's 100% unlikely that the stage crew won't have them ready to go in the 15 minutes interim, so it'll be difficult to plan things without a trustworthy schedule to use. But the other factor is how easy it really will be to duck out of that tent and get to a reasonable (like, I can see the stage) spot at the others. Meh, it'll be an adventure!
EDIT: by the way, this is my first post on my new computer, an iMac G5! Never had a Mac before, and I feel like a square peg trying to fit into a super-cool round hole.
I think SuperJam will crowded as hell. I'm just hoping that the other you know 70,000 or so who are going to Roo, don't read their email or pay attention to things.
Yeah, that's what I'm worried about...and will it still say TBD on the printed schedules we get? I think it's cool that they told us about it, but it just seems like it would get soooo crowded.
