For years I've wondered why the Superfly hasn't included any top Japanese acts(except dj Krush) considering they seem to be a head of the game when it comes to booking things people don't even know they'll love. Boredoms, Acid Mother's temple, or Ghost would blow up a late night stage. I mean, boredoms plan to put on a free show in Brooklyn for their 20th anniversary coming up where they asking for sign up of 72 percussionist volunteers. They are orginators of noise rock and were playing groovy danceable rock almost comparable to STS9 with percussion before anyone in the states was that I can think of. I want even get started on AMT. Maybe next year..................
Ahh....good point. I would like to see Acid Mothers Temple.
Röyksopp Arcade Fire PB&J (Although I heard their set at coachella blew, I've seen them live and thought they put on a pretty good show) Jolie Holland (Not a great large venue performer, but her music is amazing and she could use a little more exposure) Amon Tobin Of Montreal Built to Spill Fujiya & Miyagi Neil Young New Deal Squarepusher
A couple of these artists have played roo, but I haven't experienced them there yet so it would be good for me.
Preferably headlining two nights, or one on their own, and another night playing with Neil Young.
Then add My Morning Jacket (headliner), Modest Mouse, bring back Ben Harper & Les Claypool, and get Titonton Duvante to DJ at the arcade and/or silent disco.
PORTISHEAD! they'll be playing a festival in december in Europe showcasing some of the're new material coming from the new album they have in the works.
My friends said they saw Queens of the Stoneage open for Nine Inch Nails and they sucked. This was unfortunate news to me because I liked their first Cd. But I didn't dig the last one.
Of course anyone opening for Trent Reznor will probably lack in stage presence and over all show experience.

George Clinton, Tom Waits, Modest Mouse, Iron & Wine, Willy Nelson, Oysterhead, Peter Gabriel, Mars Volta, Future sound 0f London, John Fogerty, Zappa plays Zappa, Tenacious D, Allman Bros Band, Andrew Bird, Mike Patton in any form, Dark star Orchestra, Perfect Circle, Panjea, Sole W/ Jel, Eyedea n Abilities, Weird Al Yankovich, Bjork, and Larry the Cable Guy in the comey tent.
i'll agree with Röyksopp for sure.... great great great live show. or why not maybe oakenfold. they have the money to get big acts like The Police, they could bring more super quality dj's in right?
i'll also agree with 311 more than 100%! Can you imagine when they spit out the first few lyrics of WHO'S GOT THE HERB! It would be one of the loudest yelps(or coughs) ever at the roo...

No Doubt is definitely getting back together again for a new album and tour. I was at a Gwen Stefani show about 3 weeks ago, and she said something to the effect of, "thanks for supporting me on these 2 dance albums, and I hope to see you again when we release the next No Doubt album."
