Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.

you think so? I found it to be essentially worthless. I mean, yea, it looks cool and its neat to play with for a minute or two; but seriously, what does it do that the website doesn't? E-card was a big bust in my book, just more flashy graphics and things to entice people to bonnaroo. IMO if you aren't already convinced that you need to go to Bonnaroo, then I don't want you there. The line-up is so good, and the experience so amazing (I'd probably go if there was no music), anyone who has to think twice about buying a ticket is a fool. The only thing that should hold anyone back at this point is an issue of money; flying picutres of Tom Petty sure aren't going to help convince anyone to come to Bonnaroo.

I agree that it is a marketing strategy, but it is cool to see the Bonnaroo Videos (Roo Experience, Roo 05 Preview, Roo 04 Preview, etc). It's also cool to see photos from last year's event. Not that I am going to necesarrily win the contest, but it is a great perk to have MLB Allstar Game tickets as a grand prize (in addition to VIP tix). Marketing ploy or not, that's a sweet deal just for sending it around to friends!

Just noticed something really cool on the e-card - check out that live My Morning jacket song - Off the record. They playd this last year at Roo and it was the first time they played that song live...pretty cool if you are a big MMJ fan.
it's obvious its a marketing strategy. but regardless, its still a contest. and its a kick ass contest. a) its easy to do b) it lets people know about the greatness of bonnaroo and c) there are so many cool prizes, if you win.

Right on Jerseyyy! I couldn't agree more.
I really dig the tunes too. Last year's e-card had only jamband tracks, so it's definitely cool to see Petty, Radiohead, Beck, MMJ, in addition to the cool jamband tracks (oysterhead, umphreys, etc.)
It is cool, but only preaches to the choir. Think of something that is sent to you that is not from someone you love, or someone who already has done the tallking up that no e-card could do, or from the chronic forwarders of crap, who are only not blocked because they say hi on occasion. you would see the title, and delete.
valid argument, august. but i know a lot of people link theirs up to their myspace or facebook profile and get people to click on it if they want. that way, its less in your face, and doesn't fill up tons of inboxes. much more personal that way and let's your friends of friends who don't know about roo get info...
i guess i just saw it as like an online version of street team for Bonnaroo with the possibility of winning kick ass prizes...
