I was living in Southern California 1990-1995, I raved my freaking ass off, I think I still have a beat up Fresh Jive shirt somewhere.

Back on topic.... yeah.

I only marked the must-see bands on my printed out schedule at home... And I saw all of them. The rest of the time I wandered around and saw new bands and other incredible things.
