ok. so we all know who we want to see added to this year's lineup. For me it's Mars Volta and Arcade Fire. But who do you guys predict will be added. Who do you think Bonnaroo's gonna pull out of the ol' sleeve this year?
I'm predicting The Mars Volta, not only because I want to see them get added, but because they have a good chance. A far as I know they won't have a tour going on at the time and they were such a success last year. And because it's the Mars Volta. Anythings possible. Anything.
Page I do beleive will be added. Also, Kim said Robert Randolph would be there but most likely not with the Family Band, probably as a guest. I'm going to guess Robert Randolph and the Family Band will be added, and if not Robert will play in the (most likely) jazz superjam (probably with ?uestLove and Ornette Coleman among others).

I think Robert Randolph will be there unannounced. I'd like to see TMV, obviously, and ZPZ. Both have bonnaroo open on their schedules, and itd be sweet for ZPZ to kick off their tour at bonnaroo.

Oh...and Robert Randolph WILL be there, either announced or unannounced, but he will be there.
"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."

I really think Dylan will be added just based on his tour schedule. I think that's their bombshell.
Obviously, I'd like to see TMV. Even more wishful thinking comes in the form of Mr Tom Waits.
I haven't lost one bit of hope over the past months in Superfly. Too many people think they're going to drop the ball. May will be an interesting month.

Did you see Waits on conan last night?^ Made me remember that i wanted him at the roo, thatd be an awesome add, and make up for the rest of them, as would TMV.
there will nothing major like bob dylan or even mars volta. look at our schedule predictions, most of the slots are already filled up. there is no room for any big additions.

Aside from the email stating there would be some big additions to come...
There is room for 1-3 or so acts on the two main stages by juggling predicitions around. The Mars Volta could play a late-night show from the Which Stage. Etc.

i had 6 open slots on my schedule. but i had left off super jam, new orleans klezmer allstars, wild magnolia mardi gras indians and people are saying gift of gab will have his own set and also eoto. so while the schedule i have may not be accurate as to when/where the artists play, every slot is filled up. which means that they can't add anyone else. there is nowhere to put them.
there could be one possbile addition on fri. if sci is late night that opens up a slot i guess. but that's the only place i can see anything being added.

isnt there supposed to be 13 stages this year? I am almost positive they had advertised 13 stages this year. I may be wrong but last year I only counted 11 stages in all....What Stage, Which Stage, That Tent, This Tent, The Other Tent, Yet Another (COmedy Tent), Sonic Stage, Kat Nap Cafe, Troo Music Lounge, Preservation Hall Cafe, and Solar Stage. So if we are supposed to have 2 more stages, that would make it seem possible for some more acts to be sqeezed in.

One of the extra stages I believe will be for The Yard Dog Road Show as they are scheduled to perform the whole weekend.
Animal Liberation Orchestra (ALO) just had a new album come out Tuesday and Id love to see them back
Going to be seeing those guys in Little 5 Points Atlanta. Can't wait!
As for my predictions(more like hopes):
Dark Star Orchestra The Mars Volta Zappa Plays Zappa(who ever mentioned them before, I exhault you) Femi Kuti(just heard some of his stuff and think he would be an awesome addition) Bob Dylan
Yeah, I'm definitely hoping for a Femi addition too.
But yeah, Jazzfest will be over this weekend, so there won't be much to distract Superfly from Bonnaroo promotion here on out. Hopefully they'll start finalizing everything for us in the next few weeks...
