I really think that Damien Rice's set will be legendary. The guy is so spontaneous with his music. He never seems to play a song the same way twice. I've been told by people who were at his set in '04 that it was one of the most amazing experiences they've ever had the privilege to witness. I'd say, for those of you smart enough to catch his set, be prepared to have your mind blown, your face melted off, to cry and wet yourself all at the same time....it's gonna be epic!
I agree with you. I watched him on Youtube at one of the British festivals and he is pretty amazing. I just have to convince my 15 year old who is coming with me..... She doesn't like the mellow stuff
i'm thinking Manu Chao or the Decemberists are really gonna leave a path of destruction in their wake, i'd add Tool too, but that just seems like too easy of a choice.
interesting to see all the SCI love, personally i think there's a reason they're breaking up, but maybe roo can work it's magic and i'll be blown away (assuming i'm not being blown away at a conflicting stage)

Yeah, there is a reason. it's b/c billy nershi wants to go back to his roots, dude's gettin old (not to mention the crazy wife). has nothing to do with their music being stagnant or gettin worse. If you don't believe me dl 12/30/06 or 3/23/07 both recent shows that are absolutely mind blowing and go on to prove that sci IS the best band in the biz (imho).

I'm gonna go with Wilco, especially if its anything like the set that they played in Australia on webcast. You can hear it at www.wilcoworld.net under the roadcase section. Do a google search for wilco set australia or somethin and you can see the setlist.
I'm going to go with WSP. I just think that they are going to have something huge up their sleeve this year. And not to burst your bubble dogfight but Wilco was really bad at their 04 set. I have heard that their new album is very good so I will check them out, but not expecting a whole lot.

wilson it doesn't surprise me one bit. around that time, jeff tweedy was having massive depression problems and going to their shows was a massive gamble. since then, though, he has cleaned up his act, put out a brilliant live album (Kicking Television) and people once again can comfortably attend Wilco shows.
