The solo KW syndrome? Please elaborate, not sure what that means. I think him playing everything solo adds to the music because he does so much. It's nice, chill mellow music that you can sit back and relax too. If he doesn't conflict with any must sees for me, then I'm definitely checking him out.

(Keller Williams) Not enough people for the sound. I love Keller Solo, but i think he's much better with a band. A lot of looping and stuff like that. Not that it makes for a bad show, just that sometimes is just not as full of a sound as you expect. Xavier Rudd puts on a really good show too.
Yeah, I was kinda amazed by him in '05. A great show and he really seemed to enjoy performing. Probably the second biggest grin of the weekend after Josh Ritter.
awesome to hear, just blew my mind when i saw a few live vids of him playing, very intense, and another thing what the hell are those things he beatboxes into or whatever he is doing cause its pretty funky sounding

Those would didgeridoos. I'm not making this up. I want one too, hell, I want 30 of 'em.
From Wikipedia: The didgeridoo (or didjeridu) is a wind instrument of the Indigenous Australians of northern Australia. It is sometimes described as a natural wooden trumpet or "drone pipe". Musicologists classify it as an aerophone.
A didgeridoo is usually cylindrical or conical in shape and can measure anywhere from 1 to 2 meters in length with most instruments measuring around 1.2 meters. Instruments shorter or longer than this are less common. Generally, the longer the instrument, the lower the pitch or key of the instrument. Keys from D to F♯ are the preferred pitch of traditional Aboriginal players.
thanks for the name and definition, i think i may go buy one of those but it will probably be a waste of money because i doubt i could ever come close to making it sound like he does

Better then you can imagine. Lets just say i wasnt really a fan of the new album until i saw the show. Like i said in the recent shows thread, best show i've ever seen, and i really was not expecting it at all.

Thanks for the info, bro. I like the new avitar/picture/whatever it's called. When did the shaving go down? I shaved mine a year and a half ago or so when the long hair kept interfering with my life, but I let it grow back. How do you like it?

That pictures actually old, but i kept it shaved from the begining of summer to like 4 months ago. I liked it shaved a lot, but now i want it long again, so im growing it back out.

Haha, I just remembered something funny. Right before I shaved my head I could kinda flip my hair back when it was hot to get the sweat outta my eyes. After I shaved it I tryed to do that and everyone saw me. They must of thought, "Is that kid having a seizure, or something!?".
Good times. I think I'll stick with my long hair, though. I tried something new and it was aight, but I like it better long for some reason.

^i agree. i also don't like to shave. i think it has something to to with just being like you were made, or maybe i just like running my fingers through/playing with hair
His live shows are phenomenal. He is certainly someone I cannot wait to see. He plays many different instruments, so it's really fun to watch his shows. He plays not only the guitar and the didgeridoo, but also slide guitar, harmonica, stomp boxes, as well as a countless number of different types of drums and percussion instruments such as the djembe. You should really check him, I'm telling you won't be dissapointed.
Xavier Rudd is incredible live and definitely one of my favorite artists of the last couple of years. It still blows my mind that he isn't more popular in the States. He's playing the Attic out here in Santa Cruz after Roo and the place holds like 500 people. I've heard other people compare him to Keller Williams and I can see it but I think they're totally different. Xavier doesn't use any loops for one thing. Anyways, I saw him at the Fillmore last year to close out his tour and it was absolutely amazing.
XR is a great show live. As far a buying a didge, make one first to see if you like it. You can make them out of bamboo. I have both a home made bamboo and purchased traditional didge made out of eucalyptus. Bamboo does not sound as good but you can learn to drone on it or buy one at the roo i have seen them for sale there for like 40 bucks.
