What would be some dream collaborations you guys are hoping for this year, based on the acts we have so far? This has always been one of my favorite things to do, even last year when i didn't get to make it. Personally, seeing Mavis Staples sing The Weight, or really anything with some soul with Widespread would be awesome, ala Dotty Peoples in '02. I want to see Regina Spektor and Gillian Welch sing a song together, simply because they both have great voices. Stanton Moore playing drums with Manu Chao. If the Lips don't get a late night, I want to see Wayne come out with STS9 or someone else playing late night and just entertain. I think we'll definitely get some NMAS/WSP stuff going on. Who else has some good ones?

I'd be willing to bet that Warren Haynes will stick around after his Saturday night show and play with Widespread, and that's always a good thing to see. I for one would love to see Jack White drop by at said latenight show and play a little bit. Maybe burn through the ultimate "John the Revelator."
im really hoping for franti and weir to come out with keller and the wmds. of course keller and sci. and id love to see john popper come out for mule. and tlg too with mule too. id like to see john butler sit in with just about anyone. id be really happy if he did something with sci. franti, john butler, and ben harper should get together. but thats just wishful thinking.

If they're on the same day, I will guarantee that Franti and K-Dub will collaborate. If Les Claypool gets added, I would be willing to bet that he will play with Gov't Mule, as will half the other musicians at this fest, including Jimmy Herring. I don't think Jack White with WSP is out of the question.

How about Jack White playing 7 nation army with the Flaming Lips?
I would be ALL for this! The White Stripes and Flaming Lips have played together before too, a few years back. Jack White rocking out with anyone would be enough for me, in fact he is the main reason I'll be driving 16 hours to get to Bonnaroo (I'm from Long Island).

First thing i thought when i saw this thread. Jack White just has the perfect sound to sit in with Mule. Man, that is going to be an awesome set.
I like the idea of Jack White sitting in with WSP. He could really light up their show, certainly. I'd love to see Trey make a surprise appearance with anyone. Also, Warren Haynes and the Flaming Lips covering "Shine On You Crazy Diamond." I think Haynes did it with Les Claypool a few years ago, and the Flips have done PF covers before.

Oh my god, that would be the most amazing pink floyd cover everr. Karma to you for the thought.
