I know there are people out there like me who in the month of march go crazy for college basketball. I am an avid music lover and thought it would be fun to have a tournament in the vein of March Madness. I got the top billing of the Coachella intial lineup and of the Bonnaroo intial lineup and ranked them into regions according to their billing order. They are seperated into 4 regions. Each region has a rank of 1-16. The first round match ups are Bonnaroo vs. Coachella but from there who knows. First round we will vote for 2 days on each region I will post the new matchups after 2 days in this thread. This is all out of fun so no hurt feelings please. I would appreciate unbiased opinions. Here is the first region matchups. The Mojave Region Match up #1 1. Rage Against the Machine vs 16.North Mississippi All-Stars Match up #2 8. The Decemberists vs. 9. Willie Nelson Match up #3 5. Great Idea. I was trying to figure out how you did your seeding, but once I realized that you have the Decemberists coming from the Roo side, it started to make sense.

Yeah i thought about putting Bonnaroo next to the artist playing both festivals but i didn't want anyone to vote just for Roo.

Makes sense, it was just weird because I had already put Willie on the Roo line-up and the Decemberists on Chella. And it took me ten minutes to figure it out the right way. I dont think that my brain is firing on all cylinders right now.

Matchup 1: Rage Matchup 2: Willie Matchup 3: Arctic Monkeys (in a close one) Matchup 4: Manu Chao (by default 'cause the Kaiser Chiefs are not good) Matchup 5: Faithless Matchup 6: Interpol Matchup 7: Wolfmother Matchup 8: The White Stripes (by default as Jack White wins nearly every matchup for being Jack White)
Only 3 of 8 choices to Bonnaroo's lineup here, but BONNAROO > Coachella every time. No place like the South, no people like Roo people. Ol dude said it best, "They could have a monkey and a bongo and we would have a great time". Bonnarooooooooooo!

I just noticed I picked Roo acts in 3 pretty big 'upsets'. Being the Roo obsessive that I am, this bracket game is already getting me even more geeked for June.
