Yup, we already had mule for the 16th, i figured it was true they were playing latenight, which reminds me, i have to finish listening to their dub side of the mule show.
I just saw it on their website so I thought I had to post it, sorry if its a duplicate. They havent change their myspace yet it still says saturday at 8. Dub Side also some sweet covers on there Beatles and James Brown.

Yeah it does, i already finished the first set, really solid, it looks like the james brown covers are in the last set. I think if they did another dub side it'd be an awesome follow up to the police, maybe even a police cover with guests.....
"We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, movie gods, and rock stars. But we wont, and we're slowly learning that fact & we're very, very pissed off......."
Damnit, I know that's going to be such a good show, but I know it's going to be against something great and I'm gonna have such a terrible spot. Oh well, I'm sure what I see is really going to be special. Mule 12-4!

Flaming Lips better be Friday night now, or I am going to scream. Seriously, without any other bands being added, I think the Lips getting late night Friday would definately trump last years fest for me. After that all I need is for Wilco to be Friday as well.
We would then have potentially have something like this:
Wilco-->Tool-->Flaming Lips Ben Harper-->The Police-->Mule White Stripes-->WSP

I think if the flips were up against mule, i'd check out some of the flips show, but then id definatly go to mule. I'm really excited about this, and curious what warren has up his sleeve.
Man, so we have STS9 and Gov't Mule late night now, so we aren't getting the Cheese late. That's a dissapointment, like the first big one for me.
Edit: ON the plus side, I just realized that Ben Harper is playing the same day as Mule now! Man, I would die if either one came out during the other's set - especially if they did Voodoo Child together.
Is there any history of Harper and Haynes playing together?
normally id be happy mule was a latenight. wouldnt be a conflict for me. but ive only seen them once in the afternoon at roo. and it didnt do it for me. i need to give them another chance. and what better then a very special show as a late night at roo!! still have to see what conflicts arise. if the superjam is saturday latenight or if they throw up something else huge then id have to skip mule. but i dont want to after hearing the very special show thing from the website.

SCI may still be latenight friday i suppose, which i would definatly like to see, i dont want their last set at bonnaroo to be limited by time. It wouldnt even be a thought for me, SCI over sts9 fo sho. Not to hate on sts9, but thats just my opinion. Also, you can see them at any festival, and for years to come. This is SCI's last year, so the more i think about it the more i think they could have a latenight.
Man, I'm definitely hoping they are late-night and you're right, it doesn't seem right they would be restricted on time. People here just seem convinced that STS9 and SCI won't go against eachother. If they are, I won't even think about STS9.

You never know with bonnaroo, thats certainly not a reason to write the idea off. Common sense rarely applys to the roo, although i have been hearing that, its just their opinions so far.
same here. sci without a doubt. and i think it fits into the latenight format roo has. each late night being a different type of music. and sts9 and sci certainly fall into differnt categories. just look at umph/bisco vs. mmj last year. or dr john vs superjam. they had a similar fan base too. im still hoping for a latenight sci. id love to see sts9 but the final string cheese roo show as a late night would be something i wouldnt miss for a million bucks!!
