Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!

That's seriously really odd to me, because Jim James was quoted once saying how excited they are to play Bonnaroo every year, that it's something they mark on their calendar just like Thanksgiving and Christmas.....too bad, but then again, kinda good because there's already so many good bands that I can't wait to see, and I'm already worried about those conflicts, add MMJ to the mix, and I'm sure that some tough decisions are going to have to be made.
that sucks. was looking forward to seeing them but at the same time they went out on top last year. they shall be back next year im sure with some rocking new material and a new album to blow us away.
Didn't someone personally talk to Mutemath's management and get confirmation they weren't playing as well. This falls under insider info to me. Unless the band is confirmed as being somewhere else at the time, I'm not buying this as official in any sense of the word.

Was really hoping for another massively long midnight set this year but I guess I will have to wait til they come around town or til next Bonnaroo if need be.
is there a doctor in the house tonite? If there's a wrong, he could make it right.

Yeah i talked to the Mutemath guitarist not that long ago and we sat and talked about Bonnaroo. He told me they were playing a bigger stage not the troo music lounge like they did last year. Then someone said they talked to their management and said they weren't coming. I felt vindicated when i saw their name on the list. But My Morning Jacket not being at roo is going to be weird. Hopefully it is all a just a swerve.

No big loss for me, but sorry guys. I know there's alot of folks who really enjoy them. I always keep the door open pertaining to Bonnaroo. If these guys love the Roo like they say (Im not doubting) then Im sure you'll see one of their faces on stage at some point. Kinda like Les said last year about Roo, its become like a vacation for some artists. Les had the wife and kids there last year.
I was born in the back seat of a Yellow Cab in a hospital loading zone and with the meter still running. I emerged needing a shave and shouted 'Time Square, and step on it!
Worst 'Roo news day ever. To find out Tool's drummer should be OK and they will be playing while MMJ won't be. Some days it just doesn't pay to get out of bed.

This really doesnt bother me that much. Yes I do consider MMJ my favorite band, but I also like to check out a lot of other music. If MMJ was there again....I would see them over ANYONE else that was playing at the same time. Last year I really wanted to see the other 2 late night shows.....and MMJ's set was the closest thing to a religious experience I have ever had...but i'm more excited they will be working on a new album then seeing them for the 4th time lol.
Well, I missed em last year cuz I had been up for days drinking, so I'm deffinately disappointed they aren't to be here this year. But at least I'll be seing them for free in a month or so in Atlanta.
The two bands I have been really looking forward to since the end of Bonnaroo last year and just KNEW they would be there and almost took it for fact.....My Morning Jacket....Pearl Jam......are not here this year..

They'll be back. They love playing Bonnaroo, and I'm sure it was something they considered before making the group decision to chill and compose later this year.
