I guess I can remember enjoying him 5 yrs ago or so the first time I listened to him...I really think seeing him on TV made me hate him. That's when I realized he uses energy and enthusiasm and flailing his limbs to cover up for lack of funny material. And he always gets in the camera's face, that pisses me off too.
And kudos for using jumped the shark! Karma whenever I can exalt again for that one.
Lisa Lampinelli (sp?) would be really cool though! I finally saw her show on Comedy Central last night (I'd only ever heard her before on the Stern show) and it was great!

You guys are awesome, cause you hate Dane Cook. Seriously, I'm always telling my friends and strangers on the street, how much I hate him. And they look at me like I'm crazy. So many of my friends like him, and I've tried so hard, but yeah he's just not funny. I mean I can make an @ss out of myself. Does that mean that I should get my own stand-up specials and be in movies? I say no.

I couldn't agree more! I always hear about how funny he is, but I just don't get it. I've given his stuff several chances, but he's just not funny. He tries too hard and his material is too weak.

I don't know where you heard that at, but DAMN I hope it's true! My gf and I missed a reunion show a couple of years ago and i've been kicking myself in the ass ever since. We bought the tickets, took time off of work and drove from Knoxville to Chicago only to have things go VERY wrong. It's a long story, so I won't get into it. The point is: I feel like I deserve to see Mr. Show live now. I just hope they do a show on thursday so that I don't have to miss any big concerts. Fingers and toes crossed!
